Popular Post brickvoyeur
Quote I'll read the Nightmare Before Christmas story this year, kids. Twas the night before Clearance And all through the aisle Steamrollers were packed Into my cart like a pile Exo Suits were hung In the storage with care Knowing that in a decade They still will be there Sergeant Jyn Erso was nestled Deep under my bed With terrible proportions And a face that looks dead Wonder woman in her armor And cheetah in her cap The lasso of truth will tell you That this set is pure crap When out on my doorstep A noise shook me awake ShopJustice still delivering Olaf Flat as a pancake Faster shipping than FedEx The turds as they came I cried and I pouted As I called them by name "Now, Dots! now, Mario! Now Lego Movie 1 and 2! On, Raiders! on, Mighty Dinos! On, Takodana and constractables too! To the depths of the dumpster! Stacked 50 feet tall Now throw away! throw away! throw away all!" Each year I make efforts To donate a bit more But Toys for tots sends a bill For returning them to my door Since I can't give them away I'll dig a big pit It's the final solution To get rid of this sh!t I shook as I laughed At the thought of relieving this pain It was nearly 3am So I looked quite insane As I poured the kerosene I cheered with delight "I'll light you on fire, So you're out of my sight" Edited December 7, 2022 by brickvoyeur 15
minicoopers11
Sold a 50+ set lot. I'm hoping the sets fit in two 26x26x26 boxes. It wasn't so much about the profit on this sale. I wanted to free up space and funds for my recent TH and HH purchases. All the sets and polybags avg $34 cost. I sold for about $44 plus postage. FullSizeRender.jpg I love these sales. I just provided the shipping quote and I HOPE I was correct!
redghostx
Yesterday sold 9395 for $75 on Kijiji, today sold a lot of 79007, 70703, 70705, 60046 and 9395 for $310 to a grandma (!) also on Kijiji. She is accompanied by her daughter (should be) and had driven to Montreal for this deal. Of course they have other more important thing to do in Montreal but apparently Lego is one of their purpose. I always try and find Lego when travelling. I picked up a 7181 UCS Tie Interceptor for $120US with instructions on my last trip. Many of my best finds have been out of town

exciter1
I haven't sold any of mine yet, but it's good to see a few sold listings for the Technic Logging Truck 9397 @ $200'ish.
terrymc4677
Sold my last 10229 winter village cottage for $198 shipped. Cleared $90 profit after fees. I bought these two years ago on clearance at the mall of America lego store. They had a stack of at least 12. I only bought 3. Who has that time machine again? I'd like to borrow it. Great set.

exciter1
As with what it seems with every LEGO Harry Potter item, this game seems to be selling well. I have one I got for $13 or so, but now I wish I would have bought them all at that price. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_sacat=0&_nkw=lego+3862&LH_Complete=1&LH_Sold=1&rt=nc

speedsausage
So when posting how much one sells their set for, are we talking net or gross? Edit: personally I report what the customers pays in total. Edited November 7, 2014 by speedsausage

speedsausage
Yup, what buyer paid for (+/- shipping) Ok as an example, just sold another RI for $105 on Amazon. Amazon credits me $7 towards shipping. So $113 minus shipping then?

Deez_Brickz
Sales are starting to pick up for sure. Just yesterday sold: Cap America Avenging cycle $43 2x Wolverine Chopper for $95 each 2 x Umbaran MHC for $50 each Hulk minifig promo polybag for $39 Clone Troopers Battle pack for $34 Makes me feel like I priced the 6866 too low, but I only paid $15 each. Had 10 only have one left.
speedsausage
I report what my "in pocket" value is, after fees, because I love math. I guess we could take it to the next step and disclose profit made/lost if members are willing to share. "What set did you sell today, for how much and percentage of profit". 3 people selling the same set for the same price could have totally different profit margins. I think this would interesting to see these numbers if members are willing to share. To use my last post as an example: RI sold for $113 minus shipping, approx. PoP= +221%

jaisonline
i agree with excite. lets not turn this good thread into a stick measuring contest. sometimes too much information is just overkill and can cause problems (e..g. jealously). i do like the idea about posting sold prices because it gives members a gauge of what sets are going for until the price guide is updated next.
