Folks.....I made a boo boo I think. When I bought my I phone a year ago...I remember someone telling me all pics and videos were saved "on the cloud" even after my phone went over the thousand it could hold---they were sent to a picture roll.

Fast forward a year...and I went to look for last years Christmas pictures--and poof! <been using that a lot since someone posted the South Park video. Gone. Is it true that once you past 30 days or 1k pictures, they are deleted--gone forever?

It sounded too good to be true---that all pics ever take were stored for you in your film roll cloud what have you...but I never looked into it. Well this sucks. Am I missing something..and these old pics from last year may be stored somewhere?

If you have the cloud set up maybe. If you did not actively set it up or have another device backing it all up- it is probably gone

I listened to an npr program about this, one of the most common genius inquiries. This was pretty much the answer from what I gathered anyway.

Good luck

I am not sure honestly.

What I will tell you - get a drop box account for free. Then get the app on your phone. It will auto load your pics to your dropbox. Then you can access them on your computer and bsck them up.

Do you only use your phone for pics?  I think that's what you're saying, but I've never done that.
