Buying on CL... Things to look out for.

I've dealt on CL before, but not with Legos.... Someone has a rather large collection of older sealed star wars sets up for sale....

 

Wondering if anyone has some tips about what to look for, etc. If I was going to buy a whole set obviously I'd be dropping a decent amount so would like not to make any "N00B" mistakes....

    How old? Do you have some examples of what is for sale?

     

    Watch out...Most of the 1999/2000 sets are JANK! You start seeing some good sets pop up in 2002 and 2003. There were a lot of people not collecting in these years and thus increases the set value like a UCS blockade runner, cloud city or UCS snowspeeder.

     

    Here are some oldies that are worth a little more. Most of the sets though will at least be worth MSRP or a little more, but the designs of the sets are mostly horrible.
