So which Brickpicker bought the open boxed 10179 on eBay for $1600?

Not me. Just to say, isn't the value of a used 10179 around $1,600? If it is, this would be a decent price for a person to buy it.

Current prices are about $2000 to $2300 with the box and cert.

Than $1,600 was a good deal for whoever bought it.

Very good price I`d say! Congrats to whoever scored it, whether they be a BP member (hopefully) or someone else.

Yep, I would have definitely bought it, build it, looked at it, and resold it.

Since I missed out on the 10179, I picked up a new Hagrid's Hut for $39 with shipping.

Not the same as a 10179... :(

MEEEEEEEEEE!

Not really.... it seems I picked a great time to go for a run lol

Better ROI. lol. Just need to do it like 50 times!

Some people have all the luck.

Some people have all the luck.

And others don't. Like me. I come to a garage sale two minutes after ALL the Lego sets are sold. This happened to me five times over the summer.

Seems overpriced for a used one.  I suppose it will still be a while before it gets any cheaper.
