Ebay sellers who promise one day handling time. So I ordered Thursday morning and it still hasn't shipped. That seems like more than one day. But I will be the unreasonable jerk if I leave a neutral feedback. You know, I could have picked the guy that was a few bucks cheaper who had 3 days handling time...

You should have ordered from me.  The $10-$15 price difference would have been more than worth the excellent service :P

Just take afrin and flonase, mix in same bottle and use for 3 days, at least that is fda and approved. Works very well.

Ordered a Fairground Mixer 3rd party amazon.  Beat up (wrapped in brown paper) SOH turns up.
Just waiting for the msg from the seller when the guy who has the mixer complains.

Pretty sure that goofups like that, and packing practices as you describe in particular, can get a seller in serious trouble on Amazon. Just report this to Amazon and they'll deal with it.

Oooooooooooooooor you can be honest and message the seller, like you would if the mistake wasn't in your favor.

I don’t see it as in my favour. I don’t want a beat up SOH.  I’ll contact amazon but I could really do without the hassle.

If you are talking about the 10234 and not the 21012 then it's definitely in your favor price wise.

Sure it’s a 10234, but it’s not my set, it’s someone else, it just happens to be sat in my house.   I’ll need to repackage the SOH and even for a set that’s already beat up, I’m OCD enough to have to package it correctly.

Buyers from Asia who want a BL shipping quote on a $50 set and then act surprised if the shipping is about the same amount as the set. What else did they expect?

What Mixel were you missing?

hahahahaha  Actually, I really was missing a Series 5 Blue Mixel a couple of weeks ago.  (I bought two of one, instead of buying one of each).

I'm actually finding stuff I have no record of having.  I'm missing a couple of things, but I'm talking single digits.  Stuff that's possible I gave to the kids.  It's more the, "where the hell did those 5 other sets come from" that makes me scratch my head.

they came from the trip that you hid from your better half ;)

Thanks FedEx for leaving my Slave 1 which somehow was completely undamaged during shipping and had nary a mark on it from the TWO dragon polybags Lego thoughtfully included, out in the snow on my front porch in no plastic bag and no knock on the door. Thanks again! Now to find my dehumidifier...

So last weekend we got 5 inches of rain in 90 minutes and as a result I had foot deep water in my garage. 2 tumblers, 2 too's, and about 10 smaller sets caught up in it as my last overhead storage door wasn't installed yet. The smaller sets will end up going to my kids to play with, but any advice on cleaning up the big sets to try and get some value out of them? Can I but bags in the dryer on a delicate cycle? And how about manuals? As bad as this was I'm lucky...people next door and across street are replacing carpet and drywall.

Sealed bags in the dryer? I wouldn't. Manuals just leave out in the open air. Or try to blow dry them. Either way they'll show water damage when dry. Good luck. Open box sets of those caliber shouldn't lose too much value.

Sorry, to hear about unfortunate circumstance.  Water like that is my biggest fear, but insurance helps take the ease off the mind too.

Thanks for the input. I have 3 old doors being used as overhead storage and had the 4th ready to put up but couldn't find a time with some help. Unfortunately we don't have flood insurance so Allstate will be of no help. I'll probably keep one each of the tumbler and TOO to build but definitely a couple hundred dollars of profit gone. Again, we don't have it near as bad as some others so it's the literal water under the... crawl space?!

Ordered 2 poe-x wings from  Lego LEGO Shop at Home and one of the boxes looked like an accordion from the outside. Opened the box and sure enough the poe-x wing box was completely crushed. Calling tomorrow to see if I can get an exchange. blah.
