Anyone have any thoughts on the Volkswagen T1 Camper Van 10220? It is a 2011 set and possibly going EOL soon. Looks like the only place to find it right now is LEGO LEGO Shop at Home. I think the set might do really well once EOL. My only hesitation is that after tax and shipping the price is $140.92. It would be my luck that I purchase from LEGO Shop at Home and then it comes back in stock at Amazon for $119 (or less) with no tax or shipping.

This is a total sleeper set.......don't get caught without at least one. I know almost everyone's rule is never pay retail but its not mine so I won't talk bad about you if you pull the trigger at retail ;)

I believe that Lego has free shipping for their early May event where there is usually a free minifigure with purchase if you can wait that long. I assume the Van will still be around by then.

I have one on the way from Lego.com. I had some other stuff I needed to get, so I just combined the order to save on shipping. I'm going to collect some VIP points to use towards an Arkham Asylum Breakout too.

It's a great set to build with lots of details. Got one from LEGO Shop at Home, wasn't investing back then. Looks great too so I'm pretty sure it'll make a great investment!

Yes, it is a good investment buy.  That set should do well.  you could look at the older 10187 set for an example of what may be possible.
