Toys R Us announces holiday incentives. I bet Lego is excluded.

http://www.usatoday.com/story/money/personalfinance/2013/09/12/toys-r-us-holiday-cashback-extended-returns/2805025/

Toys R Us is offering 10% cash back up to $100 on certain toy purchases through Oct. 31 for its rewards card members and will extend the deadline for returns through Jan. 25, the company announced Thursday.

The company said it will give customers their cash back earnings on e-gift cards in November so they have money to complete their holiday shopping. Layaway customers can also participate.

Toys R Us is also bringing back free layaway through December 15 with no upfront service fee and no minimum purchase requirement. For the first time, the company will let customers make payments online.

In a move clearly aimed at Walmart's aggressive toy pricing, Toys R Us said "key items" will now be marked "Hot Price Every Day," so shoppers know they are getting a good deal. The company recently rolled out a "Red Hot Deal" program, which regularly offers what the store says are big savings on certain products.

Heh, a good TRU deal. Just 130% of retail.

They will honestly probably include them, but only jacked up regular prices and no Hard to Finds.

I hope they don't exclude Lego.  I've spent $300 there over the past 2 days, which should net me $30.  Actually, I won't have any problem getting to $1000 before the end of October.

LEGO wasn't excluded in the fine print I read the other day.

I liked last year when they had free shipping if you were a card member.  No minimum purchase required. I loaded up on a lot of polys.

So, today was the last day... Lets hope they send us the cash back quickly! I need that Death Star!

TRU usually has some sales that I participate in during the holidays.  I'm looking forward to taking advantage of more this year.

You are very much out of luck as far as the big sets (>150) goes in store.  There'll be at least 1 set in there that is cheaper than anywhere else.  The store price is a few dollars cheaper than the website as well.  You'll need some patience taking trips to the price scanner.
