Guest eightbrick Posted August 30, 2013 Share Posted August 30, 2013 10213 (2010 release) contained 1204 parts and was the first version of the shuttle. 10231 (2011 release, replacing the other shuttle) contains a couple more pieces at 1230, and I believe it fixed some things. Check out the landing gear on either side of the fuselage near the bottom, they are a bit different: 10213 (1st edition) http://www.brickset.com/detail/?Set=10213-1 10231 (2nd edition) http://www.brickset.com/detail/?set=10231-1 I would say they are similar enough it isn't worth getting one of each unless you are a big fan of the set.
