I have an oppurtunity to buy the green grocer and cafe corner for 1100 with no box or instructions 100% complete. Is this at a good price point for an investment or no?

I have an oppurtunity to buy the green grocer and cafe corner for 1100 with no box or instructions 100% complete. Is this at a good price point for an investment or no?

 

I don't think its a great deal. Used sets don't grow in value as much and the Cafe Corner is actually down 9% from last year used. I think maybe at 1000 it is more in range.

 

Now if you really want to build them, you could do it and then sell them later.

If it is brand new in sealed bag, a fantastic deal.

If it is used, then not good for investment purpose IMO.

You would probably earn some money in the medium to long term, but I think that there are better ways to spend that money at this point.

I already have them and i paid retail back when they came out. Im trying to get him down to 900. A lot of pieces from these sets arnt made anymore and are up there to bricklink which makes me believe they still have potential but im not sure

I honestly don't know about investment-wise but I would love to add them to my personal collection. So if you do pass, send them my way ;-)

Yeah for a personal collection I think itsn't a bad price at all.

IMO I do not think that it is a good price to invest in. These two sets right now have a value of $1200 used, but the offer is with no box or instructions which devalues the set.

I agree, not that good a deal without the box and instructions, cant see either of them going up in value.
