Pretty much what the title says. Sign in the Epic Games Store with an account or download the Epic Games Launcher then log in there, go down to the "Free Games" section and "get" Hogwarts Legacy.

Side note, the Epic Games Store has been offering a free game every week for the past few years a while now. Around Christmas time they usually do a free game every day up to Christmas Day. (Maybe roughly the last week from the 20 to the 25th? Always best to check the timer under the next free game when it will unlock.) Sometimes the offers repeat.

So, to update & expand upon this, Epic Games has started their daily holiday free game countdown something or other thingy. Today's free entry is Blood West, a stylish western first-person shooter worthy to try out for the soundtrack alone.

Changed the title to alleviate confusion (plus that first offer is donzo) and moved this thread going forward. Anyway, the next entry for the holidays is "Sorry, We're Closed". I have no idea what is going on here, feels like a colorful adventure game somewhat inspired by classic Alone In The Dark.

Another day, another holiday freebie with an open world murder mystery of Paradise Killer.

Today's holiday freebie is Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. Truly for fans of Symphony of the Night with a dab of the Gameboy Advance titles style of Castlevania.

Today's holiday freebie for the eve of Christmas is The Callisto Protocol. Kind of amusing getting a horror game for the season. Haha. A three-year old offering still listed at $60 (through Epic or Steam). Main criticism I heard was the game is middling between bland and mediocre far as a horror game supposed to travel in the footsteps of Dead Space goes.

Today's holiday freebie is Disco Elysium: The Final Cut. I am a bit late for this one with less than eight hours before the next becomes available. Apologies.

Today's holiday freebie is We Were Here Together. A co-op puzzle game requiring a microphone and, well, someone to co-op with. It does support online cross-play.

Today's late reminder of a freebie is Cassette Beasts. Only a few days left before New Years for 2026.

Today's freebie is Skald: Against The Black Priory. A role-playing game seemingly inspired by the Ultima series circa the 1980s on an Apple II or Commodore 64.

Today's holiday freebie is Viewfinder. A first-person puzzle game in the same vein as Superliminal but with the added layer of an instant camera. Hard to properly describe through text but well worth playing at least once.

One of the last freebies for the holidays before resuming the regular weekly schedule is the Trine Classic Collection which includes Trine: Enchanted Edition, Trine 2: Complete Story, Trine 3: The Artifacts of Power, & Trine 4: Definitive Edition. I can still remember coming across the original at Target back in 2009. Anyway, this collection is usually listed around $50.

Today's holiday freebie is Chivalry II, a first-person multiplayer battlefield simulator thingy almost like medieval Star Wars Battlefront more or less (minus the space guns of course). Looks like there will be two games for tomorrow. Anyway, Happy New Years!

Starting off the new year of 2026, Epic Games Store has stopped the daily holiday freebies and resumed the weeklies. This week is a double feature with Total War: Three Kingdoms and Wildgate. They are free until January 8th. Next week's freebie will be Bloons Tower Defence 6 (second or third repeat of this offer, don't remember).

This week's freebie is Bloons Tower Defense 6 available until January 15th.

Next week looks like another double feature with Styx: Master of Shadows plus Styx: Shards of Darkness. Possibly to promote the latest installment to the franchise with Styx: Blades of Greed, the fourth in the series I believe with the first being Of Orcs And Men back in 2012.

The freebie of the week is Styx: Master of Shadows along with Styx: Shards of Darkness until January 22nd.

Next week will be Rustler - Grand Theft Horse.

This week's freebie until February 5th is Definitely Not Fried Chicken. Next week will be Botany Manor plus the Poison Retro Set add-on for Pixel Gun 3D.

Save The World has not had an update or new story content since 2020 from what I gather. Not to mention Epic Games just laid off about a thousand employees same as they did about three years ago.

This week's freebie until May 7th is Oddsparks: An Automation Adventure. It's basically Pikmin and Factorio casually blended into a chill experience. I downloaded, installed, and already have a few hours in.

Additionally, Hogwarts Legacy is available for free once more until May the 3rd.

This week's freebies until May 14th are Arranger: A Role-Puzzling Adventure and Trash Goblin.

Next week seems to be starting Epic's Mystery Games event for the summer beginning with two entries.
