July 2, 201312 yr This set was free give away set whole june...interesting how it will perform....price drped to around 10 or less on eBay....
July 2, 201312 yr I saw the price drop to $10 or less so I held mine. Hopefully these disappear soon. I would love to be able to sell the at retail. Especially if they launch a second line of them.
July 2, 201312 yr I already sold mine. Figured I could use the space more than the 10 extra bucks I maybe got out of them later.
July 2, 201312 yr This set is an interesting case. I believe this is the first time Lego has had mass, unnannounced, giveaways?
July 2, 201312 yr Author On my time line...yep, first time...may be CHima not a good performer so far. LEGO smart move???
July 2, 201312 yr This set is an interesting case. I believe this is the first time Lego has had mass, unnannounced, giveaways? Yes, I think so. It seems like TLG was just trying to get rid of these. Just like the 2012 Advent Calendar (and various other sets that were on sale/giveaways), the market is flooded with these. It will take a while for them to bounce back up... If ever.
July 2, 201312 yr I think I remember seeing a picture on here from Ed or Jeff where they had a whole box full of these things, especially after buying a bunch of B-Wings.

At least they were giveaways though, at least usually.

Wait, so noone thinks this was actually a brilliant ploy by LEGO to start grassroot Chima movement ? You know, so parents can give these sets to kids and their friends to start a demand for the rest of Chima line....
July 2, 201312 yr Considering I paid nothing extra for the ones I received I see it all as pure profit. I have no plans to sell any though so much as donate them.

You know, so parents can give these sets to kids and their friends to start a demand for the rest of Chima line.... Especially one month prior to the start of the TV show? As I mentioned in another thread, T-minus 8 days and counting...
