Not adding up 2,300 less pieces than Diagon for around the same price.

Hogsmeade is one less baseplate in width so around 10” and Look at the difference in the depth of the build. 

75978 Diagon Alley 5544 pieces 14 Minifigs $400/$450 after price increase

76457 Hogsmeade Village 3228 pieces 12 Minifigs $430

Wow, even at the low end of $380 that's still an insanely high price versus DA. This will have to hit the sale bin at some point. $250 and I'm in.

I'm really worried that they are just saying f- it, let's see how much these rubes will pay. 

I've got 15 $200+ sets on my wishlist all waiting for some kind of 20%+ sale as they are all $30-$100 overpriced (IMHO). 

This set at $430 feels $80 - $100 overpriced.
