Still no Series 14 at my local Target. Smooshed a few rows of Series 13 and picked up a couple more Hot Dog Guys. I'm hoping it does well like other costumed minifigures but I have a bad feeling about it since so many are hoarded...myself included.

I smooshed over 100 series 14 minis at Target and found one dominatrix.  It was the last one on the rack. No foolin'

Wrong store. You would have had better luck at Spencer Gifts

Pulled the trigger on 5 SW advent calendars from LEGO Shop at Home. 

Targets have the series 14. I have bought 6 boxes over the last 3 weeks.

What is this one? Tiger lady

I have found that in 6 boxes this is the rarest 2-3 per box, plants,spider and werewolves about 4 the rest more. Most common I think is the monster rocker and the scientist

I chatted up the LEGO vendor rep at my TRU and she grabbed some Wall-Es from the back for me. Not that my powers of persuasion are that good; I think today is the release date anyway, but it did take asking.

Picked up 21 S14 packs at TRU.  They didn't have them out, but I knew they would be there as the guy told me last week he had them.  They went and found their lone case so I had a fresh one to work with.  Unfortunately, time was not on my side so I couldn't sit and smoosh forever.  My success rate wasn't perfect as I got some doubles that I didn't want like Werewolf and Frankenstein, but maybe someone here will need them.  I ended up with 13/16 and need the Zombie Pirate, Bigfoot, and Lady Ghost(forgetting her real name.)  Thing that drives me crazy is I had other Bigfoots and ZP's but put them back because I thought I had already smooshed them but was wrong.  I was happy to find extras of Spider Lady and Plant Guy but also thought I had extra Fly Guy but did not. 

I don't get the hate for Tiger Girl, I think that one will be a hit just like the other costumes, maybe I'm wrong but I like her.  Overall, this set is awesome and I do think they will sell out fast.

Guy also said he didn't think they were getting C-3PO poly as a giveaway, so not sure where that is coming from, hope he's wrong.

Trick or Treat - I can see picking up 120 of them, but that's a big investment at $10 each.

I managed to get 1 TOT at Disney Anaheim.  They limited them to 1 per customer.  I got 0 of the S14 minifigs - apparently they can't follow their own rules and sold them out last Friday.  So all the hype and bans for selling before 9/1 and they couldn't even have 1 in store at opening.  I was saddened but kind of disgusted by a "AFOL" who dropped the F-bomb 3 times at the Lego rep - don't be like that in a children's toy store of all places... ahh humanity.

I also picked up a SW and Friends Advents for my kids (not investment).  The SW Advents sold out in 5 minutes.

The store also became very stickler on the free Tractor sets even with 2 people purchasing it they really enforced the 1 per household rule.

There was no sign of Louvre or Wall-E and they didn't know when they would get them in-stock.

Looks like Target will be getting more business - at least in SoCal.

10 ToT's (limit was 20 this morning on UK lego online shop, wasn't sure about buying that many, now see the limit is 5, hope I get them !)

Bought the last Wall-E on the George website and backordered one at Amazon uk (had vouchers to use otherwise would have gone to John Lewis who have 10+ available)

 

Bought a used Batman 7780 Hunt for Killer Croc with instructions no box for 30 euro.

It is 99.99% complete. Luckily I have the spare parts to complete it.

Today I picked up another Pet Shop and ten TOTs. Neat little set.

Got a case… but, only had 2 werewolves in it, and instead there were 5 gargoyles.  Regardless, i've managed to land 5 complete sets with the addition of this case, as I also found these early at a Target when some of their employees disregarded the "out on september 1st only" stickers…  Can almost make a sixth complete set, if I get a few figs.
