GhostDad
Town Hall is limit 2 at LEGO Shop at Home, but it is Pet Shop that has been disappearing everywhere else. I could believe two modulars might retire in the same year, but going out of order is just not cool. When I see something that's just not cool, I ignore it. That usually makes it go away.

toycrazedchris
Actually, it never went out of stock. They raised the price recently without any sort of OOS. Regardless, it is the sign I have been waiting for.

legone
R2D2 is available everywhere, I doubt its retiring in the coming weeks. VW T1 Camper van is available at LEGO Shop at Home, ship immediately, high limit (5), but is not available anywhere else even at raised prices.. (correct if I'm wrong, too lazy to check). Given the current 3 promos for each van, I'd say buy them up now. Edited September 19, 2014 by legone
yu051131
in hong kong, the price of 10218 and 10224 risees about 10% of retail price, it means that they are retiring soon and investors start buying them??
JM123
What do you guys think about the Tower Bridge? 10214.. sometimes it seems like people are just forgetting this set due to the modulars. Maybe everybody stocked this one up already earlier, and do I have this feeling because I'm only active for half a year as investor and don't know how things were a few years ago. I now have 5 TB's, I think these TB will skyrocket after EOL, especially in Europe. I also think it will retire within one year. Well, maybe I have this felling because I'm only active for half a year as investor.I now have 5 TB's, I think these TB will skyrocket after EOL, especially in Europe. I think it will retire within one year. I bought most of mine when Walmart screwed up. I do not build lego but once a year and my only real interest in lego is making money. With that said this is my favorite set of all time. It just appeals to me on many levels. David Beckham agrees and he has my looks and athletic ability so I'd listen to him.

Just I think and hope it will retire sooner than you think.
kenaijoe
Minecraft Nether set is OOS at Amazon, and price is climbing. Is anyone else seeing EOL signs for this set? Still in stock at target and walmart for below MSRP.
Neosphinx
Tower bridge has been a bit overshadowed by other sets for sure. I have 3 in inventory, aiming for 5.... I think still a month or 2 to go before it will get scarce.
trekgate502
Come 10/1, I'm doing the stock up routine on R2 D2, Petshop, AA and WVM. Provided they are all still here. I can only do so much and Septembers SC, GE and others took a toll on my pocket book short term.
trekgate502
I know the Tower Bridge has a passionate following, it may make a bundle but it does not get me invigorated like FB, GE, PS, R2, AA, WVM. Does anyone else feel this way?

Does anyone else feel this way? Yeah it doesn't excite me personally either, but it's too big of a set to not do well in the long term. DoNotInsertIntoMouth
I think too many people are down on the R2. That thing is a big time money maker.
hannibal
I think too many people are down on the R2. That thing is a big time money maker. We all believed the same for the FB, but it's still doing fine
jaisonline
We all believed the same for the FB, but it's still doing fine Might not be a good comparison. Fire Brigade was part of a highly addictive theme that include completists. Some people were down on FB only because of the long retail lifespan. They were wrong. Though I do think sellers caused the initial 3 month (to $225 - $250) spike where most of the initial ROI % still is. The set is currently listed at $275. So many sets out there... Nevertheless, the 10225 R2 set offers potential. I think it will do better than the UCS Yoda and Maul sets. R2's role in the nest films will just increase demand for the set. Spanky
I'm just pondering what is up with Pet Shop. Others have already observed that it is sold out most places, marked up at Target, but limit 5 at SAH. Temporary US shortage or signs of an upcoming EOL?
