Surprisingly no, maybe he was too busy with Rivendell or just worked on this, but the designer is Kurt Kristiansen, LEGO Design Master commented: “Bringing the iconic Classic Land Rover Defender to brick life was no easy challenge. 

I had to look him up and he does not seem to have a Bricklist on Brickset but looks like he is a SW UCS designer including 10221 SSD and R2.

Unless I'm mistaken, I don't think they do stickers across multiple pieces anymore.

Not in UK though, all retail was sold out in October/November

It is going for £230-£240. I bought for £90, will be interesting to see what happens when this new one goes on sale.
