I bought 2. One for my wife (she REALLY likes it—she even asked me to find out how to make one when Lego Ideas rejected it) and, to your point about the price, she wanted to get one for her sister for a future gift.

yep I may get one but for now I ordered the train station and the train with tressel

I picked up the train station within 5min of going live as it was the only one I was planning to pick up. But then I went back to get Ominous Isle a little later. I was 50/50 on the pirate island...but FOMO flinched.

Train station sold out 30 minutes ago and mushroom is close.

It was against my best judgment, but I had a moment of weakness too.

We've only gotten a few big Classic Pirate sets over the last 5 years, so BL may be our only option.

I would have probably went for a few, but they are launching the new Star Wars Haslab tomorrow.

Grabbed a train station, logging train, and surprised even myself and picked up an ominous isle. isle wasn't on my list but it does look to be a nice pairing the pirate line up.

It’s some nice island components for the pirates to boat around and add texture. When you compare this to Eldorado Fortress for just $25 less seems like a reasonable value. I like it.

The instructions are now available today! Some people are reporting that they got an "Oops" email stating the previous one was sent in error while others are reporting their orders have shipped. Probably EU will get these first as usual.

Does the quality of the instructions look any different than the old BL Designer releases? As a Proud Box Queen, I'm very interested to see if there will be an overall quality improvement in the box/instructions compared to what you experienced in the past.

Given these price points, I'll be disappointed if I get a flimsy box that won't stand the test of time.

The instructions are better quality, more on par with an official lego set so I think that gives hope for a better box quality. Keep in mind the instructions are digital only so you can compare the two yourself but the 2021 instructions felt like you had bought a MOC off bricklink rather than an official product. There was a cardstock insert with a QR code to the digital instructions in those sets but that's it.
