Looks nice altogether with my favorite bits being the stage and diner. I do not recall seeing other City sets featuring character portraits with names across the box shown here. Of course the crook's name is Snake with an eye-patch no less. Haha.

The track looks like part of the background artwork to me.

Yeah, guessing cars and no track. Basically an update of 60097.

A monorail by Christmas would be sooo sweet.

If that is a real monorail, this would be a $250-$300 set, minimum.  But the pillars don't look like LEGO builds so I'm betting it is a repeat of 60097 but with different buildings. 

If it does end up being just like 60097 (not a real train / monorail), this box art will be one of the most deceptive / disappointing LEGO has ever put out.  It was bad enough 60097 had fake rails on the box (front and back). 

 

On a side note, does anyone know why the "mayor" in a corncob outfit?
