Thinking of expanding into minifigures........ How much is a good price to pay for a box of these??x60 and never opened? Is it a good investment?? Which series is the best?? or most likely to go up in price??

Being fairly new to minifigs myself, I just started with Series 9. All previous series with the exception of Sereis 1 are fairly easy to get without much markup. I think plenty of these were made and a quick look on ebay shows sealed boxes at slightly above retail.

If you're going by the case then every set had winners and losers, so a lot will depend on how lucky you are pulling the good figures. Be sure to stay under $3 a figure in total costs, and try to shoot for closer to $2.50 each if you can swing it. This seems like a great way to get into the Lego business and build feedback on ebay actually, as well as test your resolve if you're a collector since you're going to have to part with the rare and valuable figures if you want to make money on the case. USPS 1st. class shipping across the US should run you under $3 with delivery confirmation, closer to $2 without. Up to you if you want to risk sending the figures "naked". Just be warned that if you get a dishonest buyer who doesn't mind scamming you out of a few dollars they can claim they didn't receive the item and ebay will refund them if you don't have tracking. Obviously if you sell a whole case one would hope you won't get too many scam artists, but I'd advise springing for the tracking and passing the costs onto the buyers. Bubble mailers can be had under 50 cents. You should, in theory, make a few dollars a figure if you calculate everything correctly. Good luck.
