I guess a 4k piece White House isn't all that surprising, but, boy, do I miss the days of Fallingwater, Farnsworth and Robie.  No landmarks/monuments, just exquisite architecture.

I think it´s a typo. That would take it into the Creator Expert series like SOH / Big Ben and is certainly not compatible with a 100 euro price point. Expect something closer to 730 pieces.

If I actually thought Lego was intelligent enough, I'd think they are tapping into a market where they know resellers will stock up on these.

My Lego hobby started with the Farnsworth House. It’s a shame they have focused on landmarks and cityscapes. I’m for them re-releasing updated models like Fallingwater.

I believe it had to do with the shooting that occurred there not too long before the set was due to be released.

Correct. The original unreleased version included Mandalay Bay, where the shooting occurred.

2 different Las Vegas sets. 21038 and 21047. TerryMc is correct. After the MB shooting, LEGO replaced MB with Bellagio. Apparently some of the 21038 sets were released in South Africa but only a few. One of the very rarest LEGO sets ever.
