November 22, 20196 yr What is that gold square thing in the Dubai cityscape - a 50 story AED 230million picture frame. This is what a petrol/gasoline purchases pay for. Absolutely priceless. https://kunstler.com/eyesore-of-the-month/november-2017/

January 28, 20205 yr I guess a 4k piece White House isn't all that surprising, but, boy, do I miss the days of Fallingwater, Farnsworth and Robie. No landmarks/monuments, just exquisite architecture.

No landmarks/monuments, just exquisite architecture. I think it´s a typo. That would take it into the Creator Expert series like SOH / Big Ben and is certainly not compatible with a 100 euro price point. Expect something closer to 730 pieces. No landmarks/monuments, just exquisite architecture. My Lego hobby started with the Farnsworth House. It’s a shame they have focused on landmarks and cityscapes. I’m for them re-releasing updated models like Fallingwater.

July 16, 20205 yr I believe it had to do with the shooting that occurred there not too long before the set was due to be released. Correct. The original unreleased version included Mandalay Bay, where the shooting occurred.

TerryMc is correct. After the MB shooting, LEGO replaced MB with Bellagio. Apparently some of the 21038 sets were released in South Africa but only a few. One of the very rarest LEGO sets ever.
