Freaking Gunther, always coming back to haunt me.

If they were going to made a set based on an old out of production comedy... they should have went for the obvious choice.

 

 

I predict a lot of early sales for the Friends set, then stagnation, then good discounts, then a healthy bump on the aftermarket as long as the show continues to be broadcast broadly on different streaming mediums. If that ends, these could be as hard to move as Adventure Time.

On a side note, how much fun will the "lego friends" search on eBay and Amazon be? You'll get ancient comedies and pink sets.

^Agreed, I would be down for a Seinfeld set. I never watched Friends...

It might do well because LOTS of people love Friends, including my wife. I personally think that the show is stupid, and not at the same level of Seinfeld or other comedies, but that's just my opinion before we inevitably buy one on day one. Happy wife, sad wallet?

"Happy Days" (& it's 5 or 6 spin-off shows like L&S, M&M etc.)   would have been better.

This could possibly been my least favorite part of the entire series.  Ross and that damn monkey was stupid.

This appears to be a Season 1 set from the wardrobe choices and I'm glad Gunther got included.

With Hulu, Netflix, etc, it may be too late in the context of hitting at it's peak in 1996 (or whenever), but there is a new generation of people watching that show and familiar with it.

I think it's a cool set and I thought the show was Meh during it's time.

Agreed. The part selection is cool but I could care less about the theme. Never got into the show AT ALL.

There were those stories about a month back that Friends is the second-most streamed show on Netflix.  I'd have to guess that factored into their decision, because why wouldn't the lessons learned from TBBT apply?

My wife still watches it nightly.  I also hear parents saying their kids enjoy watching it too these days.

Wow! I'm thoroughly surprised. I thought this set wouldn't turn out that well, like the Flintstones set. Just seemed like too much detail to cram into a small set and still do it justice.... but gotta say, this looks fantastic! Friends is very popular show to this day. This set has a lot of potential..
