April 5, 20187 yr Well, a publication shutting down does not remove or revoke the copyright, which usually lasts decades, so making and distributing copies would technically violate copyright law. However, I’d say the most anyone would do to you for scanning PDFs, is send a strongly worded cease and desist letter, if they found out or cared.Sent from my iPhone using Brickpicker Forum
April 5, 20187 yr Author Would copyright not transfer to the various creditors in the event of bankruptcy? Not sure unpaid printers, designers, etc... would have much interest in legal expense for such an endeavor...

Whether the copyright still exists and whether or not you are likely to get sued are two different questions. Someone will still hold the IP rights.
