Ironing Cloth Pieces. Can you? Have you?

Just as the title says, I'm wondering if anyone has had good luck ironing starched cloth pieces of Lego like sails and capes.  If you had good luck, how did you go about it?

    I laid a damp wash cloth over my Black Pearl sails and they turned out great. Not too high of heat.

    I see a market for custom fabric-effect sails ;-) I did starch some weed-blocker membrane once to use as sails for a Black Pearl that was missing them when bought used and missing bits. They lasted well until I sold it again along with missing bits restored.
