2 horse race between Ideas and TLNM. How much of this is the Saturn V effect?

Saturn V, Old Fishing Store, Ninjago City, Destinys Bounty

Hard to pick a winner here, but out of the four sets I listed, 3 of them I really really want to have, and 1 one them I have to have. Saturn V wins it for the Ideas theme, OFS makes the win even more deserved.

LEGO Ninjago Movie

I feel like TLNM line was one of the freshest lines this year.  Everything was fantastic in that line.  Very innovative, whimsical, fun.  It's very creative.

Out of those four mentioned sets, I have bought three: Saturn V, Old Fishing Store and Destiny's Bounty. I already built the Saturn V which was #1 on my wishlist ever since it passed the Ideas Review Board to become an official set. The other two are still waiting for another time to be built.

Ideas had only four sets in the entire year of 2017, where Adventure Time was an utter failure (resulting in an unceremoniously early retirement) and Women of NASA being a decent Ideas set turned into a hype from the start which, like all hypes, didn't last long. But the overwhelming superiority of the Saturn V set and the beautiful details of the Old Fishing Store made the Ideas theme the absolute winner of 2017 in my book.

Stupid question... how do I vote as I don't see an option enabled?

I'd vote for IDEAS as the theme thanks to Saturn V, Women of NASA and the expected good performance of most sets in the theme.

TLNM deserves a mention as the Destiny's Bounty is the best value ship ever released and is my favourite build of the year. However, I'm not interested in any other TLNM set.

I wouldn't even put Star Warts on the list to be honest! ;-)

I probably would've done actually as I've had the biggest profit margin on those ;-)

I may have voted over Xmas after too much Sherry, Advocaat and Babycham!

Not listed here but I would like to give honorable mention to the seasonal vignettes in 2017. I found the Valentine's and Halloween were particularly cool.
