These guys are just getting what they read online... but I didn't hear about.

Somebody found the entire list of 2018 D2Cs. There are a few CREATOR ones so maybe this'll be one of them

Considering it is public knowledge now and someone (not me) found it and posted it on another site already, make a thread and I'll give you the list. Lots of people might be excited.

Lame if true. Many other landmarks are worthy before past ones start being recycled. Or maybe Lego is just dead set on destroying any shred of collectability the classic sets have left.

Much more fun to speculate and be totally wrong!

Wow Lego are really going to do this, have they ran out of landmark ideas already? I guess they want to put an end to any theme being collectable.

Tower of Orthanc may become the rarest large Lego set in another 10 years time ?

It is already the rarest - in terms of buyers.

It's not only Landmark, they appear to have run out of most ideas! We knew that the era of remakes would be upon us soon so it's no surprise. Could it be a totally new Taj Mahal or a lazy re-box like the Technic Race Truck?

There's only been 5 creator landmarks hasn't there? They can't have run out of ideas already. I could understand an architecture version.

I'd love to see these represented in LEGO:

  • Rome Colloseum
  • Neuschwanstein Castle (would have to be at least 10,000 pieces)
  • Sydney Harbour Bridge (SOH buyers would want one)
  • Golden Gate Bridge
  • Venice Rialto Bridge
  • Athens Acropolis
  • Moscow St. Basil's Cathedral (maybe not due to religious significance)

I came up with those in a couple of minutes, imagine what LEGO's designers could come up with if they took their heads out of their arses!

  • 2 weeks later...

I request that this thread title be changed to reflect the fact that his is no longer a rumor, @exciter1!

As an architect and someone who missed out on the first Taj, this GREAT NEWS!

I will admit, I'm super stoked about this.  I've been close several times to bricklinking this bad boy, and now I don't have to!!!! YASSSSS.

Now for my ISD remake!  *crosses fingers*
