pretty sure I've seen this in the bucket wheel excavator; maybe also in the motorized excavator (though less sure, it's a bit longer that I built that one - the bucket wheel I built last week)

That is the black part of it. I know it comes in the T-6 Jedi Shuttle. Along with mostly some Technic sets.

That looks to be correct. Both the 92947 round 2x2 brick with grill pattern, and helmet appear in this set.
