These phantom restocks are worthless. You get "waiting for new stock" for 2-3 days before LEGO cancels the order as "out of stock".

Sorry, but that is not always true (although it is a large portion of the time.)  I snagged two Stranger Things on one of the "phantom restocks."

Not true at all my friend....I had 4 separate orders get cancelled but for the simple fact i added on a few small items i ended up with the following for around $100 bucks

10-15 small items

4 blacktrons

4 polybags

VIP Points

Rakuten Cash Back

Cash Back on my credit card

I've placed a number of orders over the last couple weeks.  Had some strange occurrences happen as well.  Had 2 separate orders where I orders the max Qty (3 or 5) and they fulfilled a single set (and GWPs) and then cancelled the remainder.  Had a couple showing waiting for new stock that I fully expected to be cancelled that were fulfilled.  Needless to say Lego's inventory systems are really poor.  But I got a bunch of cheap GWPs so I'm happy as a clam.

True, guess I need to keep trying. It's a pain though if the cancelled order hit the limit - you need to contact CS to have their "Order Review Team" reinstate the order (they can't reset the limit as such), wait about 48 hours, and then, in 48-72 hours, have the order be cancelled again even if you've noticed your item(s) popping in and out in the interim.

I can't say I haven't taken advantage of the keychain trick either :D

So let me apologize to @raindog and the others. The restocks aren't completely worthless, probably the opposite when there's a GWP around.

And my anecdotal experience with the occasional return (in 2021) is that they don't really bother deducting the GWP's retail price from the return as they should.

I got 20 and posted right immediately . . .  I haven't received any returns yet, but have received a lot of 3rd party items.

I got in 2 orders of 20 (with a friends help). I'm sure others did as well. Likely there were a few hundred available, and it was sudden. To me that volume indicates a warehouse transfer / new pallet find or the like, not returns.

Are you accidentally on a different country's page? I still see normal price on the Jeep.

As a matter of fact, it returned the very next day after their big sale on them ended.  You know, the sale where they had no stock.

3rd party sellers have to offer a “business price” in their settings . It’s set by the seller not amazon . Most probably have no idea how to do that, which is why there are minimal listings with a business price.

I'm talking about sets that are still being sold by Amazon. For example :
