I was a member last year, planned on not renewing, then as my membership was about to expire in December, they offered $25 renewal with... I don't know...20% off that day's purchase + $60 in coupons, etc? So I renewed.  The coupons came via email and were your basic 20% off purchase, free latte, etc.  I saved the email and think I've been able to reuse some of the coupons.  Every month (sometimes twice) they send a new email with an additional $5 off $25, or $10 off $50 coupon. This weekend they're running 10% off for everyone... 20% off for members, with coupon.  Still with their prices, it's hard to make a deal most of the time... but I pick up most of my Architecture there (I don't have a B&N near by).

20% off coupon?  Do you print it online?  Will it work in-store?

I do see where it says this will not work in retail stores and this promotion excludes "LEGO products".

Thanks for the info - were the coupons Good on LEGO/Arch, or was LEGO excluded?

Like B&N, Lego toys are excluded for online orders, but architecture works. In-store, I have had no problems using coupons on Lego toys, though they are excluded in the fine print.

Not sure if this works for everyone (somewhere I saw "for new customers" flash by) but I found this on yoyo.com:

20% off 3+ select LEGO & DUPLO

Offer expires 2/29/2016

To redeem, add three (3) or more select LEGO or DUPLO items (as marked) to cart and enter code LOVELEGO at checkout. Max discount $50.

Works on 60052 Cargo Train, so add 3 of those to your cart and you'll get them for $118 each plus tax. *EDIT* Forgot about the $50 max discount ... so ignore this total - comes out to $140 after tax instead.

It's a max of 50 dollar discount though so you're gonna end up around 130 each.

Yeah I had just noticed this ... thanks!

Your Shop Your Way Choice Benefits should be available for this quarter.  Don't get suckered into the $15 back on $40 or $20 back on $50.  You should probably have a 100% back on $50 purchase (one item) selection.  I usually pick this, unless I choose one of the other products/incentives.  They have some good deals on luggage, 75% back in points on a lawnmower, 75% back on a storage shed, Craftsman stuff, etc.

STill not bad.  35 percent off retail.

Actually, if you order one, and add some other items (e.g. something really small like 31027)x2, you get the 60052 for $118 plus tax.

I cannot find any details about this online, re: is it targeted, online purchases only, in store, etc.

It's right on the TRU main page, one of the scrolling banner ads

This weekend's in-store coupon can be printed here: http://promo.booksamillion.com/save/coupons/isc_160211_prezday.html?&utm_source=prezday1%2002/12&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=prezday1%2002/12/2016&utm_content=header&ad=AD021116&smrtrctid=102800838

Yes, it says it excludes Lego, but I just used it, here... (first 2 items are not Lego. They are my wife's Valentine's Day gift... we've been married a while... ;)  )

My wife and I don't do the Corporation Holidays..... We only do Christmas and Easter because of our Christianity. No Valentines day....no sweetest day.....These were invented by women.

So, do you just ask them to honor the 20% off, or is there a coupon that needs to be presented in-store?

Does anyone know the actual reason why so many resellers frequently exclude LEGO products from their coupons? It seems like in the past two years I've seen that from B&N, BAM, TRU, Target + others I'm forgetting.

1. Are the wholesale margins significantly lower on LEGO vs other toys?

2. Too many resellers abusing the coupons?

3. The products sell well enough on their own without the benefit of blanket coupon discounts?

So my take away is my wife is like a LEGO city set and your wife is like an UCS Star Wars set....

Valentine's Day is obscure, the holiday's roots are in the ancient Roman festival of Lupercalia, a fertility celebration commemorated annually on February 15.
