Yep it did. I've read about that movie before but wasn't sure anymore so I googled it again. First time I noticed this though!

His "spontaneous" turn as an infiltrated stand up comedian in Police Squad is one of my favourite tv moments.

Bonus points for the Shakespearean play upon which Forbidden Planet is based.
