Scooby Doo, Where are you? - general discussion

Featured Replies

Since something bizarre happened to the original topic dedicated for the new theme, I am merely making this as a temporary replacement for further discussion until or if the original thread can be restored. Moving along the last bit of news was we have an image for the Mystery Machine and Mystery Mansion sets which I shall attach below. Release date is around August this year.

There are many types of members on brickpcker.  Calling many members names or stereotyping others motives is in my opinion uncool.

  • Took me long enough to realize the correct character but the zombie in the Mystery Machine set is the witch's zombie from the episode "Which Witch is Which?". Come to think of it now, the witch from t

I don't think so. The Mystery Machine is an iconic pop culture vehicle that will appeal to fans of all ages. I rank it right up there with the Ecto-1 and Delorean. They can make as many as they want.

Nice that you only have to get those two for the gang. Feel like in general people will wish the van was bigger. Looks like a lot of stickers. Haven't made up my mind on these yet, but should have some decent AFOL draw.

Personally, I love these.  Those might be the only two sets I get of the line.  I'll be curious to see the others.  But, if you want to get the entire Mystery, Inc. gang, then those are the two sets you're going to want.

I am really looking forward the lighthouse too.

F'a;lkdfa;lsdkfj awesome. About time.

I don't care if the ghost/ghoul/goblin is always a disgruntled gardner/librarian/locksmith. I loved this show growing up- my kids love it too.

Well played TLG- well played.

I deleted the other post because I wanted all the Lego for myself. I created the legend of the "Ghost Post" to scare off would be investors, and I would have got away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids.

I was really pleased to see this line happen. I have a lot of fond memories of those meddling kids. ;)

What's funny is I can only recall in the original cartoon two or so episodes with the crooks ever calling them "meddling kids". Maybe it was a phrase that caught on somewhere and then used more in the later series'?

When I heard the rumors; I thought that it was a terrible idea.  Now that I see the products or at least prototype images, I'm sold.  I think I'll love these, and my kids will love these because they've seen the newer cartoon.

I'm a little disappointed with the lighthouse...it seems about one level too short.

Yup you will need two to make justice. However I love the ghost.

I don't care about SD, but that airplane is cool. Plus a pumpkin head "monster"...I'm in for that set.

Now that i've seen the sets i believe i'm in for these as well. Very nostalgic. Hope they replace the Headless Horseman's Horse with a black horse though. Looks odd on a white horse. I love the "skull" rock face on the lighthouse set. Combined with the cool monsters from the show, this line will do awesome.

It was an ingenious move from LEGO to focus on the classic side of the theme. After all almost always the parents make the decision :P

Also the builds are quite decent. Much better than Super Heroes or Pirates.

I will be getting these sure as hell. The figures will go well with HH as well.

Hmm, disappointed with these ones. The lighthouse is just Lego being cheap at the end of the day and trying to sell more copies with less. The plane is ok, but it`s plain. Not much going for it, though the Sleepy Hollow pumpkin head is awesome!

I really like the first two set, not so much these, the Castle is great and the MM machine is accurate. At least they both do the source material justice, these 2 seem to be lacking.

I think part of it is trying to force sets into particular price points, and it is a licensed theme, so definitely some restraints.
