This is a little off (but still on) topic but....

Can someone tell me where to get the little zip lock bags that hold a single minifigure?
(in Canada)

Most cities have some sort of local packaging/shipping supplies outfit hidden in the business parks or you can always buy in bulk at www.uline.ca

or if you are in Ottawa (for example) www.pritchard.com

I beg to differ

My cases from minifigures plus showed up today

I get my mini zip lock bags from Amazon.  Seems like the quality keeps on changing though.  I get 500 for $10.

do you have a link?

Are those big enough to hold the figure and checklist? I currently buy my bags at Michaels but I'm only getting 200 for $4. The thing I do like is that they have many different sizes and I'm able to include the checklist.

You will need the 2.5 x 3 to fit the checklist.

Just got back from my Target where they restocked the pegs.  Nice quiet time in the store... one hour of smooshing later, I scored my "case completion pack" (that's 20 packs: 2 Wolf Guy, 2 Witch, 2 Cheerleader, 2 Tiger, 2 Businessman, 2 Banshee, 2 Spider Lady, 1 Plant Guy, 1 Fly, 1 Specter, 1 Gargoyle, 1 Skeleton & 1 Square Foot). Now I'll have 5 complete sets with my case.  And - cuz "smooshin' was good" - I picked up a few extra of the rarer ones. B)

Sounds like we had the same day.  1 hour of restocked pegs at Target to complete 5 sets. And some extra cat ladies.

me 3.  Except I still didn't complete the 5 sets. Still missing a cheerleader, witch, businessman and wolf.

So my box of S14 just arrived and it's ok, arrived in the lego packing box and have the strips of figs, not nearly as exciting as the cases that was originally expected.  So what are you guys doing with these?  Are you sorting them into sets or leaving them be?  I am sure the value would be in the cases rather than the strips, I was hoping there might have been some sort of promo material with these but its just the plastic strips with the figs on them.    Think I will pickup a case on eBay for a long term hold.

I'm pondering the same question. Frankly I don't know how many buyers are out there in the secondary market for a full case of 60 minifigures (whether in a display case or the strip style).  Won't most secondary market buyers want a full set or a few select figures two years from now?  Who's going to want 60 of these at secondary market prices?  I just don't see there being much advantage to keeping a full display case of these.  With Series 10 (Mr. Gold???) I could see the benefit.  But with the other series, I think most buyers aren't going to want a full case with three full sets and extras.

Only real market for Box 60 is for buyers looking to do the final legwork of breaking out 3sets+extras.  Most will be resellers.  Some will be AFOL to keep 1 sell 2+extras.

Your best bet for Long Term value is to make set16 and sell after 2 year+ hold;  otherwise, you're working for peanuts.

Me 4. Still need 2 fly guys to complete 6 sets.

Resellers who don't mind working for peanuts , will buy a full case and sell them off individually . You make more money selling per figure , than per set, but it is a lot more work posting it all out. But some resellers will put that work in . There are a lot of mum and dad , stay at home, resellers , who have the time on their hands , and it makes them feel connected to the communitiy while making some money. They are not big time investors doing it in their spare time.

Stopped by Walgreens yesterday and they had just put them on the shelf. Picked up everything I needed for my 5 complete set goal plus a few extras. Now I'm just going to be picking up the rarer ones and maybe some more of the specters. I think their glow in the dark faces will make them popular as well as the new legs found on them and the banshee. I'm torn on the skeleton, plant and fly. I think they will do well, probably in the $10 range.

This may be old news but I haven't come across much talk about bump codes recently on here so I thought I'd share some findings.

I've smooshed through two different production date runs of the S14s, 124B5 and 420B5. 124B5 was my first purchase of minifigs, tagged and bagged. Then the 420B5 I sprint smooshed at another store about a week later. I didn't have any tagged from my 2nd batch so I had to smoosh again at home and decided to compare bump codes to my initial minifigs. I found that some characters shared the same bumps across both runs and some were different.

For example, #16 spider lady has the same bump pattern within both production runs, where as #4 wacky witch has 2 distinctly different patterns.

I've only gone through about 40 polys so it's a pretty small sample. When I crack open a new box I'll do some more comparisons. I have come to 2 predictions:

1)bump codes are tied to production runs, so each character may have a different pattern each time they're made

2)each character may have multiple bump codes assigned to them but not related production runs

Is it possible you misfelt a couple polys? If not, that sucks you couldn't get 3 complete sets.

not a smoosher in public or at home. I cut the tops and confirmed.
