Hey guys just checked Smyths toys and their having a clearout on click and collect only so they might have some sets in your local store.

Mainly on Movie sets and Chima, I just picked up 5 Phoenix Temple's £50 each, another 4 Benny's spaceship at £50 (they have been cheaper but still a descent price) and a set I never thought I'd buy but for £30 each I picked up 4 Movie dropships.

So check the stock in your local store and worth a punt if there in stock.

Oh and be quick it's not on Hotdeals yet!

Great Heads Up - Thanks. I'd drop by my local store, but don't fancy a trip to Lakeside after a full day at work and anyway, do I really want a load of dropships... (famous last words).

The system can be very buggy, if you live near it might be worth a pop in tomorrow. So many times they have either more or less stock available then advertised.

Was also considering getting a few Bennys SS before they finally run out in retail and would have pounced at £50 - still considering going in @ £65 as I think its a good one for the portfolio.

I was in one of the Smyths Stores yesterday and a staff member said that some of the stock was being taken off the shelves for a clearance event next week, I did persuade her to let me have one of the Lonely Mountain's from the back though. They did have a lot of good deals on the shelves and online. This morning all those deals have been taken off the website, so it looks like someone jumped a bit early.

The £10 is deducted as checkout so:

They're not great deals. The RRP on the train station is £49.99. Benny's Spaceship has just been reduced to less than that price by Smyths. There will also be better deals on the Quinjet.

Benny's Spaceship was on clearance yesterday in Smyths for €50, but the clearance sale wasn't supposed to be until next week, so they've pulled them down from the website.

and I have now found Benny's Spaceship at Argos, but as I cannot find it in stock anywhere in the country it might as well be £5.

The Smyths clearance sale looks like it will be on while I am on holiday. Might be a good thing though!

So back from my Smyths trek and talk about random as hell, so I visited like 5 Smyths and this is what I ended up with:

5 x Lonely Mountains £50 each

5 x Phoenix Temples £50 each

2 x Chima Ice Mammoths £30 each

9 x Movie melting rooms £5 each

14 x Hobbit Witch king battle £5 each (funnily enough another person maybe one of u? had a trolley full of these must of had like 30)

4 x Bennys spaceship £50 each

3 x Movie dropships £30 each

and last but not least, I was totally amazed to see 6 Movie Castle cavalry (was never interested in this set but not seen them anywhere for the last 6 months) for £10 each!

Talk about random. I passed on a load of Ultra Agents stuff at half off, a load of misc Chima stuff at half off and a couple of the mid sized Hobbit sets at half off again.

So a good afternoon trip out, and as I expected the are just emptying all there old stock into random stores. So again if you have time it's worth a visit but be quick this stuff is going to go fast!

It's Oldham Smyths for some reason they always have the most random sets left over at that store, it's where I found the lonely mountains and the movie castle cavalry's. Plus they had a load of the ultra agents and tonnes of Chima sets left over.

Not to be too nosey but where did you hear there was a clearance going on next week?  Wondering if I can schedule in a trip before the HDUK crowd get involved.
