Why would it be?  It's a minifigure line.  There would be a revolt if it went that way.  But, I'd buy em' if there were a lot of pixar characters, and some old school versions.

Interesting, yeah I hope if true that they stick with the classic minifig look, the taller figures have their place, but nothing beats regular minifigs. 

I remember when just2good mentioned this for April Fool's Day among a couple other 'rumors'. The fact he said it then makes believing such information now even more difficult. Playing along if it turns out to be real, I wonder who would be in the line; minifigures based on animated characters or live-action actors or a mix of both?

easy to do, hundred of characters to chose from

better profit margin selling 5-6 pieces for $4, easy to ship. Im surprised they aren't doing 3-4 different minifigure series every year

they would do the doll size ones, so that it would match current princesses, can't have Pocahontas different size than sleeping beauty

Yes, I could not even remember the other rumors, but I was the only one zeroing on this at the time. Of course Just2good did not respond to my question at the time

If they do these right, those will be gold, and they could continue that line for many years. 

With rumors going around since April, it looks like there is a little more solid confirmation thanks to Instagram user blockpopinjeju.

But the leaked hair-piece pictures look like normal minifigure hairpieces (even though that's not a very reliable hint).

These will likely look exactly like the Disney characters (as I am sure that Disney would disapprove of any tweaking).

Many were unhappy with the Simpsons minifigs for that reason (molded heads, etc) - as they can start to look like any other toy.

I do wonder which characters the will be doing. They could do many themes of these (princesess, villains, heroes).

Well they'll go the easy route and release the same figs that are in the Disney Princess line.

Well but they are already doing Disney characters...

normal lego minifigs --> Star Wars, Lone Ranger, stuff...

friends style --> Ariel, etc.

 

I'm not so sure they're doing extra molds if they can just as well come up with another design for the heads they already do have.

Anyhow: I wouldn't feel bad about new molds. These could be fun and very popular (as are the simpsons). The leaked information about the theme thus far didn't hint to much into the direction of specific things did it? I'm already so thrilled about these new minifigs as series 14 is so great that I'll probably be disappointed.

I hope we get a Mickey mouse fig so I can put his head on the President Business body.

They already have the Mickey and Minnie molds for Duplo line, they just need to create smaller ones for CMF.

ETA: Plus they had enough practice with minifig sized animal heads thanks to Chima

I really hope regular heads and sizes.

I am beyond excited for these. I really hope they are classic Disney characters. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, etc. They could do a Steamboat Willie too. So many possibilities! I just love Disney and these would really open up Lego to a whole other group of collectors that maybe do not buy much Lego.

Agreed. But I'm afraid they will go the Disney Princess route. Hope I'm wrong. I would have zero interest in those except for Frozen related minifigs.
