It's not comparable. 6862 was out forever, clearanced forever and has these really rare minifigures: superman, wonder woman, and let luther (sarcasm). Nothing is really special about it. Final battle

I'm not a big fan of the bug, but I like the minifigs.

Agreed. Mini figs are pretty slick.

Anyone think these sets out now will have any extra value if it does come back there is a flaw with the initial production?

Ok. In that case I couldn't imagine the early version to be more valuable. At least _I_ wouldn't pay more for a less stable version with less pieces.

Well, it looks like they're thinking they've already been QC'd and fixed anywhere, so if any of them are out in the wild already, they've already been fixed.  I guess the difference was in the review version vs the final version that hit the street.

Definitely would not want to build the incomplete, less piece set. However, if more pieces and a new box will be produced and distributed, I would want to have one of the first few boxes with the lessor pieces. Those "error" sets, just like baseball cards with errors, or even beanie babies with errors, could be a rare find, depending on how many hit the shelves already.

Or, there is the other side where they are already fixed, and I'm here just talking about nothing . . .

Early Deloreans had a mis-spelled "Flux Capacitor" tile and they have been forgotten about... The Shuttle Adventure set (10213) had build problems and was re-released as Shuttle Expedition (10231) and the "fixed" version sells for quite a bit more (20% or so more).

The "error" set in Lego generally doesn't mean squat.

Looks like noone cares about Artic vs Arctic Batman either

I just can't think of a reason why they would either? The rarity of a baseball card is what made them valuable.... For a LEGO set, once you've cracked those seals and built it, nobody's going to care if the box had a typo and in this case, people will probably appreciate the build that works better.

I imagine a few odd ducks out there will probably try to acquire both, but since most people buy to build, it's what's on the inside that counts. :)

I got one at Toys R Us today and the clerk tried to ring it through and the computer said it wasn't supposed to go on sale until 6/21.  He called a manager over and she said they couldn't sell it but then swiped her badge and put it through for me.

For $20USD/$25CDN, it`s solid. You get 3 printed minifgures and a good looking bug and catapult. I`m more into vehicles at this price point (Doc Oc Heist, Spiderman Chase, Arctic Batman, etc.) but this certainly is pretty good for what it is. Though I know absolutely nothing about Ant Man haha.

Not sure why but this set seems extremely difficult to come by.  Out of stock for ordering at target and walmart and amazon.  The movie isn't even out yet and I haven't even caught a whiff of ant-man hype.  I've snagged a few at a local walmart in case there's  some QFLL but i saved my receipts.

The trailer looks strong and the Ant Man character is in the new Captain America. I think this little set is a potential winner. I will purchase several at the 20 dollar retail. Easy to store.

This set flashed to "Call To Check Availability" at SAH EU last night, it's back to "Available Now" again. I think this could disappear at any time.

Stop with the European retirement stuff but yes this one could go quietly and that is the only not so subtle hint about that...

Showing sold out for me now!

Not sure what demand is like, but seeing as it never made it to retail it could do well.
