I have a chance to buy a used 100% complete set 10197 Fire brigade from local seller. He asked $270 cash. Set is 100% complete and comes with both instruction booklets and original box.

Is it a good deal? Should I consider to buy as investment?

This is fine if its just for you, definitely not investment grade though being that it is already almost double retail and an open box that has been built already.

True, but it is interesting to note that the modular market in general has taken a long holiday and new and used prices haven´t moved much since then and they still appear for that much on BL.
