March 19, 201510 yr Starts Friday, Remember to use coupon code CineplexHoliday for any orders over $40! I'll be getting a Constructo-mech for personal build
March 19, 201510 yr To all the canadian BPers... Should we merge these into a Canada Sales and Deals thread so people can subscribe to a single thread? The Amazon and Indigo deals shortyz posted would have fit nicely too? Just thinking...
March 19, 201510 yr Author Maybe 1 thread per retailer? (TRU/WM/Amazon/etc) The Walmart one has been working well, as did Target ones in the past. Or maybe just 1 "Daily Canada Deals" thread - not sure what the best option would be really.
March 19, 201510 yr I don't know. It's nice to have them come up as new topics... You don't have to go to page 5284 to find the latest post only to find the latest post is a flame war over which set is not going to sell, going to do better, and which thread this flame war belongs to.
March 19, 201510 yr Oh, and construct o mech looks fun. Already have a Benny's spaceship (sorry classic space fan) and love it. Not sure if the construct o mech fits as an investment, though.
March 19, 201510 yr Vil Business Lair for me... I know this is wishful thinking, but will be nice to have Fairground Mixer and any of the modular on sale too =D

I kind of like Sandwraiths suggestion of a thread for the major retailers. The "problem" with a thread each time there is a new "deal" is... 1) We sometimes end of up clogging the new content widget. 2) People don't always see the deal quickly .. Subscribing to a few threads means you'd be notified quicker. 3) It could be easier to search for past deals. We could also pin the threads which would make them easier to find (especially for new members). Just thinking out loud.

I know this is wishful thinking, but will be nice to have Fairground Mixer and any of the modular on sale too =D I don't think I've ever seen them on sale? I think the last big TRU BOGO type sale was just Star Wars and Technic. But yeah, a little something would be nice. :)
March 19, 201510 yr TRU seemed to have raised the prices on some items so watch out. Double Decker Couch was 19.99 when I was there the other day.
March 19, 201510 yr Somebody please make 1x Canadian thread that can be subscribed to. Would be really nice to be able to get updates, sales, etc... from subscribing to one thread.
March 19, 201510 yr If you look deeper in the flyer some select LEGO sets will be 30% off (Monster fighters, Galaxy Squad, City, Castle, maybe more?) so keep an eye out for those.
March 19, 201510 yr Author If you look deeper in the flyer some select LEGO sets will be 30% off (Monster fighters, Galaxy Squad, City, Castle, maybe more?) so keep an eye out for those. Nice catch! I did not look past the first page.
March 19, 201510 yr Can someone tell me what TRU is? Toys R Us You've got some reading to catch up don't you... http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/8878-brickpicker-abbreviations
March 19, 201510 yr I 2nd sandwraiths motion for a thread per retailer. It'll be quicker to look through instead of sorting through possible multiple deals and conversations at one time. Edit: maybe have one thread for smaller retailers ie. Sears, mastermind toys etc. Edited March 19, 201510 yr by speedsausage
March 19, 201510 yr I prefer seeing new threads for each different sale, as we have been doing. It's then very quick to check for anything new, without having to dig into threads and read posts. We don't always have time to read every post just in case it's important...
March 19, 201510 yr I agree i like new topics for everything, so i dont have to goto page 5000 like the guy said.
March 19, 201510 yr That`s a good point, maybe we could have threads for each retailer, then 1 exclusive thread strictly for quick / lightning deals (similar to the Daily Deals thread) that come up unexpectedly. A Daily Deals thread for Canada I don`t think will work, because, well, we really don`t get any deals. The sales we obviously get are weeklong (TRU), period/over time (Indigo, Walmart, etc.) or the occasional deal that appears quickly then disappears shortly after.

I like the idea of the Lightning deals thing, sort of like the "Find of the Day" thread, which btw i just posted in Benny back in stock at WM.ca But agree lumping every single deal/sale in 1 thread would be tedious.
March 20, 201510 yr Or a thread "Canada Deals" March or week of... Then you subscribe and we dump it after a week or month
March 20, 201510 yr Anyone know when these sales go live now? It used to be midnight eastern time but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore.
March 20, 201510 yr Anyone know when these sales go live now? It used to be midnight eastern time but that doesn't seem to be the case anymore. It has been live for a while now! http://www.toysrus.ca/family/viewall/index.jsp?categoryId=60809606&overrideStore=TRUSCA Note that the prices are not yet visibly updated, but if you add to your cart, you'll see the 20% discount appear. Speaking on which, I also now understand how all the Lonely Mountains disappeared just "before" the Hobbit sale went live, some weeks ago.
March 20, 201510 yr Author Constructomech was OOS before the sale started sadly. I'll wait a bit and see if more come in, otherwise i'll have to bite the bullet and get it in store w/o the online coupon.
March 20, 201510 yr Except they have 9463 Werewolf at $29.99 retail when it's actually $24.99. It's actually on 14% savings. Of course it's sold out at Lego so getting it below retail should still be considered a bonus.
