Yeah, the demolition driller promo is lame but if you want to acquire sets before they start going eol or you don't have enough of a certain set, then it's best to buy now.  I bought two sets this month even though the promo is lame.  I would rather start acquiring the sets I want now instead of waiting a few months down the line and not being able to buy as much or have them go oos on me.  Just my way of thinking.

Promos shouldn't drive the investment decision. The tale doesn't wag the dog. That being said, I've got two drillers now and they are pretty lame, unless you want to put it in the middle of the Tower Bridge and cause a traffic jam.

That was a promo last October- during double VIP- that is now selling at $25+.

 

I agree that the "drill" is lame, but what isn't is the Han Hoth figure coupon from the December calendars. Although he's being re-issued, with time- prices will re-establish.

 

That being said, unless it's a must-get, waiting four the spring round of double-vip is a great play.
