I thought getting them fitting properly was very easy if you predetermined how it fit up.

Now the magnets of 10030.....that was a pain!

It was just the very front and very rear mechanisms that were a bit fiddly to get sat right.

Not had the pleasure of 10030 and given the prices they fetch now, probably never will :boredom:

Really wished that I picked up this one as I had tons of opportunity to do that couple years ago.

That aside, hello there fellow Liverpool Fan :)

My almost 4 year son is now completely a LEGO maniac. He constantly wants to build and is pretty darn good already. I'm only going to have so many polybags for him before we start cracking into bigger sets.

This morning, before I left for work, we out together 30282 Super Secret Police Enforcer

I'll throw out a counter argument, for the sake of conversation. I don't like it, because it's not relaxing. I do LEGO for a hobby, and to unwind. Technic does the opposite to me. It winds me up. I agree that it is SUPER rewarding when you are done. The stuff is cool to display. But in the end, I just don't enjoy the build. The biggest I have done is the MKII, and it truly is agonizing when something does't line up, and you have to back-track 1 hour to fix it. That is not an exaggeration. It can take an hour to fix something in the center of a complex mechanism. To me, that sort of thing just makes it stressful. The last point which is minor to me, is that I didn't do technic growing up. Some of the joy I get from LEGO are memories from my childhood, and technic just wasn't a part of it.

I actually let my coworker build all the technic sets I want as I feel the same way. I spend an hour each one just trying to figure out what I did wrong and then usually just put it aside as I have a theory, if I am doing something for fun that ends up not being fun move on and do something fun as there is way more to do

My son and I built the older space center to go along with our $60 clearance spaceport

I didn't pick it up at RRP but still at a reasonable enough price to leave profit on the table if I decide to sell.

The Liverpool curtains are in my sons room as the missus insisted this one wasnt getting built on the kitchen table and his desk was the only other surface large enough for the build.

Need to sort out my garden man cave.

Just making our way through the MF. Trying to have my 5.5 year old help with as much as possible. Pretty nice build so far, we're a little over halfway through.

Recent weeks, I've been building modular buildings one set per week. So far I've built PS, PC, PR and GE.

I'm also working on a project to bricklink 10182, 10185 and 10190.

Putting together the deceives office that I picked up yesterday :) So far the first floor has been a fun build, time for a break and then i'll post a few photos later today

"deceives office" sounds interesting. :derisive:

Today I built 41176 The Secret Market Place. The mechanism that allows the forges' hammer to strike the sword on the anvil is cool. Overall it's a really nice set though I think that the proportions of the green dragon are a little bit off.

41118 Heartlake Super Market I finished before is a good small set though it would benefit from having complete sidewalls. Also, I had some fun assembling the minidolls.

As I'm always interested in adding cool printed pieces to my collection I wasn't disappointed with these sets. 41118 offered a new biscuit/cookie tile (the one with jelly), a sushi tile and a chocolate bar tile (upper row) while 41176 offers a grass/moss tile, a dragon banner and a book with dragon print and a dragon-print tile inside (lower row). The new food pieces are more interesting to me as I love LEGO food. :stuff:

Built two more sets today.

The first one was 41110 Birthday Party. The build was quite simple and I could complete almost everything without instruction booklet. The set didn't use any stickers at all (yes!). My favourite part are probably the string lights. The invitation tile is nice as is the printed box lid that comes in different variations in the latest Friends and Disney Princess sets.

My second build of the day was 41173 Elvendale School of Dragons. Maybe it's just me but Friends sets seem to be more straightforward than Elves sets. The blue hue used here looks great and should be used more often.

After its completion I added some other Elves buildings to the scene to see what it looks like. With the sets released so far you can already have a nice small village with inn, market, castle, bakery and so on.

this weekend we added the Brick Bank and series 7 of Mixels to the collection.  I've got to stop with the mixels but next two series look fun so maybe after ten be done.  Can't say enough about how great the BB is.

Today I built all models from the new LEGO dimension fun packs 71233 (Ghostbusters Stay Puft) and 71237 (DC Comics Aquaman).

I tried doing without using instructions but one picture of a model only gets you so far. Unfortunately, there are no instruction booklets included and I don't have access to the game itself. As a consequence I had to revert back to youtube videos containing the instructions.

Aquaman gives you possible builds of Aqua Watercraft, Seven Seas Speeder and Trident of Fire while Stay Puft comes with Terror Dog, Soaring Terror Dog and Terror Dog Destroyer (top left to bottom right). Some of the builds require some sort of base to prevent them from falling over.

The primary & tertiary Aquaman models are good in my opinion while all of the Terror Dog's are nicely wicked. I like the idea behind the twin-headed Destroyer (although it could possibly benefit being 'beefed up' with some more pieces) as it reminds me of the mythological Orthrus from Greek lore.

Built 10213 Shuttle Adventure.  Excellent looking display piece but a little delicate putting and keeping some parts together.  Stoked I was able to get this and add to the collection.
