Don't forget to post pictures of your Walmart special treasures everyone got last week!

Mine are all over ebay :)

I've been crazy busy but should add some Lego Castle sets to my Brick Classfieds store, too. I felt bad for my postie so went out to the truck to carry a couple of boxes for her!

FYI, Lego 10697 XXXL Boxes in stock at $40 in BC already at the Black Friday Price.  Price was posted as 49.97 but rang up at $40.  These have to be able to be flipped for at least double I assume with 1500 pieces!

Torontoer. Dundas & Dixie. Walmart. $40 half skid. Picked up 8 boxes

Wal-Mart Windsor East had about 12 left on a shelf. I scooped six, but only because I had my two year old in the cart and there wasn't more room :(

On the way to the checkout two folks asked me how much they were, so they probably won't last long. As soon as she's in bed I'm going back and I'll take anything that's left. Maybe WM Canada doesn't think they should wait till BF to put these out (again) because BF isn't as big of deal up north? No idea why, but I'm happy to make a huge fort out of these. Another bonus is with the strength of the US dollar I doubt Americans can sell/ship them to CAN at all this year.

Will they be available online or are they an instore only item?

They did pop up online last year, but for short windows of availability. Given how popular they were last year, though, I wouldn't count on any being sold online - especially if they put it out so far in advance of the actual promotion. I doubt they'll last at $40 for 1500 pieces until Nov. 26th. It is a sweet deal. The towers aren't as nice as last year, but the wheels make it cool. I think it will sell really well.

Can we expect them to last in-store until the weekend? Wondering if I should clear my schedule tomorrow afternoon before work to hit a store or two up, or if it's safe to wait until my day off on Friday....If each store only gets a skid each, I fear they're all gone already :/

Actually, last year it was set number 10664 which has a 1600 piece count. It was also at 40$. It was available online for a very short period and I managed to get my hands on 5 of them online. After a quick look for both sets on brickset.com, I think this one (10697) has more varied pieces.

Oh boo I'm busy until Friday so won't have time to check my Walmart! pretty sure they will all have been snapped up by then.

Are people just flipping these during xmas or holding on to them?

Walmart wasnt suposed to put them on shelve.  All walmart did, but some figure it out and they didn't stay on the floor.

Bough 2 of them the morning, went the afternoon for more, and was told they putted it by accident, it's for the black friday, so the were removed. But an other walmart at about 15min from there still have them on the floor. Bough an other 2.

Nothing in my area yet, but i haven't been looking terribly hard.

I got a few last year and flipped after X-Mas, decent profits, just not all that into these buckets as a product.

I can confirm you that this deal is for the black friday, they wasnt suposed to put them on the floor, wrong week I was told.

I am lucky enough, i can have 10-20 if I wanted so, 3 walmarts here, only 1 removed it and they will be avaialable again next week.

So yes, I want to buy has much has I can, flipping them to get bigger sets for about half price. That's awsome

These are in this weeks Walmart flyer here.  The sale should officially start tomorrow.

Yes, it appears they are going to blow them out in this pre Black Friday week. I went back to the store I grabbed some at yesterday and they were all taken to the back (I asked if they sold out and was told they were instructed to put them in the back until Thursday). Lego sales have been pretty slim pickings (at least around me...a little in store WM clearance and not much at all at TRU, chapters coupons seem to always exclude Lego and Canadian Tire hasn't done their typical 20% off yet) so I think this is a great buy. I'll be getting as many as I can.

Is there really any money in flipping these? Shipping eats into the profits, so that leaves selling locally. I remember last year people selling them on kijiji for a profit of $20 but do I really want someone coming to my house to make a measly $20? There are 2 pallets of these on the floor since yesterday at my local Walmart. Picked up 2. (sets not pallets haha)
