Great find at my local Target

Fumbled upon a pretty good deal at Target today.  I went in to legitimately find a couple of LEGO gifts for Christmas.  I had to laugh because all of the items on sale had been cleaned out to the bone and I chuckled to myself thinking "stinking investors!".  I didn't find anything I wanted so I started wandering around a little bit.  A few aisles over on an endcap I saw a couple of FH 31012.  I thought, "ha ha! yes!  The stinking investors missed these!"  And... being a stinking investor myself, I snatched them up.  I had wanted one of these myself anyway so I was ok paying full price since they seem to be on the way out anyway.  During checkout my total with tax came to $89.75.  I was expecting it to be in the $140's!  I then realized... booyaa  big sale.  Too bad there were not more.  Anyway, I was amped and wanted to share my win.

I went back again today to see if they had any more.  Bupkis.  But they did have the Museum Break-in 60008 which I was able to get for about $45 (includes tax).  I know this kit seems depressed from the price guide so I am not sure if this was a good move or not.  I figure I have 30 days to decide right?

Of note however, both this and the family house that I posted about were on end caps that were not on LEGO aisles.  Clearance item?  Retiring soon?  I hope so.

Target gives you 90 on returns, I believe. I'd hold the Museum, though. It's likely done sooner rather than later and is unique enough to buck the City trend of low growth.
