Where can you find the OFFICIAL LEGO name of a brick? For example; a 4x4. There are thin ones, thicker ones, etc. Is there a Holy Grail/Bible of Lego blocks?

Lego Shop at Home and Bricklink have different names for the pieces though I would assume what Lego calls them would be "official", though I like BL's naming system.  Lego's Technic names can be difficult to understand at times if they are an odd piece.  You may have to call customer service and see what their answer is.

Bricklink colors, and piece descriptions are the most consistent, and widely used descriptions (Enough so that they have stopped some other sites from using them to describe pieces).
