Hey guys, while checking out TRU, I noticed they had the 10507 - DUPLO My First Trian Set marked at half off TRU prices in store. Checking their website, they have it listed as out of stock, and I notice that none of the other big player retailers have the set in stock/listed on their website. 

 

It still is listed as Avail now on SHOPLEGO, but I have a strong feeling this set is heading for a very quick retirement. It's shocking because the previous incarnation of this set was out for 4-5 years, and this one came out in Aug 2013. So either there may have been a mistake with the set itsellf, or DUPLO may be replacing it or possibly even moving away from DUPLO Trains? 

I could be wrong, and maybe LEGO will just carry this on their own shelves and site for a long time, but TRU clearing it out and Wally World being OOS is setting off my EOLdar.

 

Regardless, I'd encourage anyone with a local TRU to snag these at these prices. I know DUPLO can be marginal as an investment, to most, but I made an absolute killing with 5609. 

 

 

Target clearanced them out some and I did get one for $15. I know some Wal-Marts here have them in the clearance aisle for $30 or so. I'll have to check TRU tomorrow.

I bought a few over the summer for 25-30 from walmart and a few TRU have here for 28. Will probably use as one of my bricktober options.
