Can anyone share with me their experiences with selling on Amazon.   I sold some stuff years ago and am now thinking of listing some items on there again.  I know their policies and prices have changed.  I am getting tired of the ebay fees and more the people purchasing on there trying to scam.  I am wondering if it makes sense to sell and ship self, or if there is a way to send them all items and fulfill for you.  What are the cost benefits or lack off from either way.

I implied this in the GWP thread when peeps were talking about the new one.  "Where ya going to sell it??"

Except for a few instances where I couldn't help myself, I haven't been buying anything since the holiday sales.  There are no listings and if you notice, Amazon is getting more and more inventory of "Lego Exclusives" so that market seems to be closing.

I've actually never even tried creating a listing or learning how -- been no real need to.  

Brands have more control in USA compared to other countries .

the joys of selling on Amazon, Amazon will pay me for the lego and I get a free dinner

Looks like the AWD arm is poaching users / sellers from FBA side of the biz 🤣

That's all we use now is AWD, Plus if you ever recall anything from AWD it's still the the box you shipped it in and you can have it sent back on pallets
so you don't get any damages . 

Although we have a hard time getting CA warehouses to ever open and when they do, they sit in a yard for 2-3 weeks before getting delivered 

South Carolina is the second cheapest for us, I just sent 14 pallets Monday for $2556, If I bumped it to 15 pallets price for some reason

I think 15 is the cutoff for when you switch from LTL to FTL, which I've found to be a huge hassle.  Those shipping costs seem extremely high, though.  Where are you shipping from?  I've been shipping 6-8 pallets to the AWD warehouses in SC and PA for around $250 per shipment.

Where in CA, I check 3 times a day and CA has not opened up in the last 3 weeks, My warehouse is full and I have a container coming Monday, I had no choice,. But even when I get CA its about 100 miles from me, It still runs about $100 per pallet

I'm shipping from the east coast.  That's crazy that it's so much more expensive out there.

They offer me MD PA and SC mostly,,,,

I can't say that I've ever gotten a choice.  They just tell me where the shipment is going.  Generally either SC or PA.

It only gives me one option, That's why I create a shipment several times a day hoping to get CA, Do you SC shipments check in fast or sit for weeks

No, but I did just have 18 listings "deactivated due to potential pricing error"...the most hilarious of which is one where my price for a polybag was under $7 and cheaper than half the listings that are somehow still on there. Make it make sense.

Guy that is at the warehouse next to ours, Does a little amazon. He was selling some branded hair spray. For what ever reason they thought is was fake. He finally gave up trying to prove it was not,  They won't let him recall any inventory at all,, They where supposed to destroy it 3 months ago but instead they are eating away at the 2 grand they owned him in storage fee's

I have 200 to 300 units of Chinese furniture covers in FBA since last year eating up storage fees.  One day one of my Chinese New Year sets suddenly had about 500 units in stock.  It began selling and getting lots of returns and complaints.  I notified Amazon it was not my inventory and that I had sold out a long time ago.  I've called three times and opened two or three different cases to get it solved.  The only response I've received to date from Amazon is them contacting me that they are starting their own investigations because of the high rate of return.  For a while they were sending me big shipments of the product but that finally stopped.  So now I am eating storage fees, return fees, customer returns, etc.

Good news is that a 50 count of a set I sent in back in October just showed up in FBA 😃
