Can anyone share with me their experiences with selling on Amazon.   I sold some stuff years ago and am now thinking of listing some items on there again.  I know their policies and prices have changed.  I am getting tired of the ebay fees and more the people purchasing on there trying to scam.  I am wondering if it makes sense to sell and ship self, or if there is a way to send them all items and fulfill for you.  What are the cost benefits or lack off from either way.

Thanks for any information or experiences.

What ever Amazon did, FBM was killed this year. There have been years previous where it was a much closer threshold to win the buy box with FBM. People are undercutting by 20% and still not winning. Difficult place for FBM sellers. Maybe I'm missing something..

Yeah, noticed that big time this year.

To add to this mess amazon has started removing buy box for lots of legos which had buy box consistently till 2 weeks ago. Was selling with buy box at 229. Out of the blue discounted $13 by amazon for 2 days. Now no buy box even at 199.  Looks like a repeat of last year about to happen, where their AI would tag everything as high price and force to list as collectible-like new.

To me at least, this has been gong on all year.

And on another channel, I have 100+ of a Christmas set that Amazon has put in "reserved" for about a week now.  Really made a point this year of getting all Christmas stuff in early to avoid this and just wow . . .

Maybe I'm wrong but my conspiracy is they are quietly shifting "excess" inventory to AWD and charging standard storage fee's for it.

Unless your revend that is. Have some significant counterexamples for that outfit. Amazon researching missing inventory for 60 days while storage and even long term storage fees add up seems downright criminal.

Funny, I've actually shared buy boxes with the West End Boys pretty frequently.  Not so much with others.

Amazon's price control bot has been in place for a while.  We either have to submit to it to play or get our listings deactivated.  Whoever created the algorithm did not care about higher fees that could be potentially collected by Amazon.

Plus Amazon could remove any ASIN (even the ones they created) at any time with no apparent reason.  These were active ASINs when removed.  Look upthread for a long list.

Oh and there is no way to dispute or protest any of these.

All on top of increasing cut throat competitions and higher fees.

The joy of selling on Amazon 2024 😄 😀 :drag:

To clarify I have seen them get the buy box as a FBM seller with a price only 2-5% lower than my FBA price. Regardless of my FBA much shorter delivery time.

Yet they never take it away from the listing showing the euro box

I created some FBA labels but forgot to ship for 4 weeks. Will I get dinged, is there some sort of metric for this

I have never created a list on amazon before, any criteria for a seller to create a lego list? is it hard?

Do these ever fall off? I refunded and received the item back over 2 weeks ago, but these action items still remain.

Yes, I think 30 days up to 60 or 70 days

How do people sell adidas lego on amazon. Got my first ones today and I see the lid opens, which is super cool, but also going to seem like the product isnt sealed in amazons eyes. also prone to damage.

I submit a case for an empty shipment. All 16 invoices for it. They reply.

Sir, Amazon does not accept invoices from future purchases as proof. Please update the invoices as appropriate.

Me: I think you were mistaken, these are invoices from 2022. They are multiple years old.

Auto Reply: Amazon does not accept invoices from future purchases as proof.

Me: An invoice with a huge red circle around 2022

Auto Reply? : I know this is a hard time. We want your best wishes. Amazon cares but these are future dated invoices...

Can I sue them for distress and a new monitor when I punch the CS representative through my monitor?

How did you get Lego invoices?

They were receipts which is still accepted as far as I am aware.

I personally have never had much luck with receipts.

I had to dig up receipts for the last 5 years and submit them.. took a while for 70 lost items. Scanned , highlight and what bit. They approved it, then they found the items and reversed the reimbursement. Hours down the drain

I'm all FBA with 100% positive feedback and zero returns. I'm small time, but I've had 45+ sales over the past 60 days all Lego and this hits me today. I have dozens of orders in pending status, two shipments in receiving. This is totally insane. I know they limited FBM by sales, but this is just batshit.

Hello,

To ensure a safe and trustworthy shopping experience, we are implementing additional qualifications to sell LEGO products given the sensitive nature of these products. Specifically, we are now limiting offers to domestic sellers with a track record of steady availability and sales of significant inventory supply. At this time, we determined your selection does not meet our criteria to continue listing these products due to limited orders fulfilled, continuity of inventory, or source of supply for LEGO.

As a result, effective 2024-12-04, you will not be able to sell the affected products, and your offers will be removed. This action does not impact your account health, and you are still eligible to list other products on the Amazon store. We apologize for any inconvenience this might cause you.

How can I reinstate my selling privileges for these products?

You are not approved to list LEGO products. Your eligibility to sell may change if we update our qualification criteria for LEGO items in the future.

Were your listings removed as a result of an error?

If you believe your products have been misclassified as LEGO, please contact Selling Partner Support with evidence to support this claim.

Can I sell my remaining inventory? If you have remaining inventory of the affected products in Amazon fulfillment centers, you will not be able to continue selling your remaining inventory after the date above. If you would like to have this inventory removed to you, Amazon will cover the cost of the inventory removal. For help creating a removal order, see the following: https://sellercentral.amazon.ca/gp/help/200280650.

We're here to help. For more information about products that require approval, search for Categories and products requiring approval in Seller Central, or see https://sellercentral.amazon.ca/gp/help/200333160.
Sincerely, Seller Performance Team https://www.amazon.com

Just got this from Amazon! I’ve been selling Lego on there for 10 years. I took some time away from Amazon this year, and sold fewer sets than normal, but WTF!!! I also got one for Funko, but I wouldn’t sell that much on Amazon.

IMG_4922.png

I just got the same email. Awesome. Listings are currently still active right now, but I guess that will change soon.

This is nuts, Amazon is just nuking things! Got one for Mattel just now. But all the Knock Off Transformers and other ko toys from sellers are sitting unaffected.

I got nuked too for Lego and Funko. They are coming for the small timers and the FBM sellers. I’ve been selling Lego on Amazon for almost 11 years. Never had any major issues. Perfect feedback. They don’t care. I’ve been selling more on Bricklink lately which is an infinitely better experience as a seller and I’ve been buying way less the past couple of years anyway so I’ll be ok. It’s just a damn shame this is the way they are treating people who have busted their rear ends being good sellers and making them a lot of money over the years.
