Selling Lego on Amazon.com

"This product is no longer a valid offering from the brand and to protect the customer shopping experience, we limit the creation of new ASINs for brands enrolled in Brand Registry by sellers who are not associated with the brand owner."

This is what the page says. Dumb. Submit invoice from supplier within the last 365 days or letter from Brand.

I got this for 21320 and the list is increasing.

I guess this is the end of selling retired sets on amazon. What a loss it is for them. They make all their money on retired sets.

Despite the verbiage, and fossils notwithstanding, for the most part GWP's and exclusives appear to be the brunt of the sweep here.

I got a lot of other brands is the main problem. Transformers, GI JOEs, Marvel Legends, etc.

Amazon is shifting their focus to other things. The changes they have been making in the past 8 months would eventually drive (smaller) 3PS away. Was this by design? Who knows, who cares? P

I am just curious if the analysis to pivot came from their Wharton / Harvard MBA analysts or from AI D

To me, it’s pretty simple. it is a consumer experience issue.

Amazon wants a clean, streamlined catalog across thousands of branded products. When a customer searches for something basic, like a box of Kleenex, and gets hundreds of nearly identical listings, it creates confusion. Some are legitimate variations, but many are duplicate listings or custom bundles created by sellers.

That starts to feel more like an eBay style experience, not what Amazon is aiming for.

It makes sense that Amazon wants to simplify the catalog. It improves usability, reduces clutter, and helps address safety and counterfeit concerns by keeping listings brand-approved.

Does this approach make sense for every brand? Maybe not. But Amazon isn’t evaluating this case by case they’re applying a broad policy, not running a jury trial for each brand.

I won't be convinced until all the Blepin is gone.

eBay? Of course not. Amazon is aiming to be Alibaba of the west. P They'd rather have 3 ASINs for the exact same item (identical pictures, descriptions, etc) from 3 different (Chinese) "brands". Can't wait to see how this strategy improves their customer experience wink

I only see GWP's and sets not originally sold by Amazon or Lego exclusive sets.

This is a recycled post. 5-6 months ago one of Amazon mods posted similar if not exactly the same post.

Pro tip: I stopped visiting Amazon seller forum and my life has been much better, because I no longer see those braindead posts from their Mods P

I mean you gotta be a zombie to post that or got balls of brass

I assume there is nothing I can do but I just received a return request for the UCS Gunship. Customer says they received a box of trash. All sets were purchased from Amazon and Lego. I know Amazon does log customer activity to track patterns. Should I report so it at least goes into his history? Or does that just draw unwanted attention and scrutiny?

I would charge 100% restocking fee once it is returned and report .took them 2 weeks to figure that ? I’d take my chances for that amount . Was the weight right ?

I would just reply with :a thank you for contacting us and we apologize for any issues with your order . please return the item with all the content inside . We will process a refund once item is received .

No back and forth .

It was auto-authorized and shipped already. His comment was included in the return. No other communication. Plus, there is rarely an option to charge a restocking fee -- sometimes I can charge return shipping.
