If sales are not allowed because of IP policy violations, is Amazon guilty of allowing intellectual property infringement on its other websites? Seriously, how can these two things be mutually true? Either it is not an IP violation and needs to be reversed or Amazon is guilty of allowing it on its other pages. When I asked this question to the random Indian support person, I was thanked for contacting them and the conversation terminated. If you have a Lego receipt upload it. I bet it works I did it on a couple Quote

I don't mind the cost to test if needed. But I doubt as a reseller I could jump through all the document requirements this process will likely need Quote
chaozz Posted September 3 Posted September 3 I think Amazon wants a cert for every single toy on the site, and wants a new test every year, Toys are only tested 1 time, Not sure manufactures are on board with paying to redo the exact same test every single year, If this is really true a huge amount of toys will be wiped of AZ just in time for XMAS Quote

Bricklectic Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Got an authenticity complaint resulting in a violation on my account. Customer was unhappy with damaged box so he messaged me. Initially I offered 15% back, when he replied angrily that I shouldnt be allowed to sell on amazon, I just refunded 100%. Still, apparently he complained to amazon that I sell fake legos. Unbelievable how there people out there that will literally destroy someone's business and livelihood for a trivial complaint. Quote

This is so evil!! There is really nothing we can do as a seller to protect ourselves. I'm assuming the violation will go away after a period. So you should be good. Quote

The violation goes away after 180 days. I got one before.... But I think if you get multiple ones it might be more problematic, I don't know, say if you get 2 or 3, if that will cause a deactivation. And it's crazy because it can happen from anything. Last week I got a complaint that a speed champions set I sold had star wars pieces inside. All my stock is 100% new so its impossible I thought. Then I realized, what must have happened is that someone returned a set to amazon and switched the inside, and then amazon thought it was new and original and resold it. They obviously arent spending time looking it over too carefully. And theres nothing we can do to protect ourselves... Quote
Bold-Arrow Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago You never defend 100%. You ask for it back then your refund 1 Quote

One impatient customer that doesn't like your response can jeopardize you're entire account. I'd rather devote .x% of my sales as refunds as "account protection" costs. A bit like the mafia protection costs of old Better to be wrong with amazon selling privileges than right with none, funds and inventory confiscated. I know FAR too many ppl (not lego sellers) that have lost 6/7 digit businesses for the infamous section 3 complaints. 13 minutes ago, Bold-Arrow said: You never defend 100%. But at least you've done all you can do..... thats my philosophy. Quote
