Greetings from Australia

Hi everyone,

All the way from Western Australia here, Lego seems bigger than ever these days.

I've risen out of a 20 year stint in the dark years (hence the username :D ), my saving grace was my kid.

We started on Duplo but it wasn't reaching the age to play with Lego that I was awoken out of my slumber.

I'm a bit scared at what I've spent in just a few months but I could not resist the Modular's and big Star Wars sets.

At this stage I'm undecided over whether to build or keep mint in box with some items.

Welcome. And always keep buying to build. I neglect building sometimes and when I come back I always wonder why the hell I ever took a break from it.

A Lego set built a day keeps the insanity away.

Definitely will keep building.

I've built the Modular Pet Shop And Fairground Mixer with my kid we've had lots of fun doing those together on some rainy days.

Just hoping selling some of the sets after a few years will help me recoup the cost a bit.

Welcome to the site. At the least it would be a good idea to have a few items left on the side for building among your investments. It helps better maintain your own sanity and is something you can do with your kid that they will later remember with fond memories.

Agree 100% I have very fond memories playing with Lego space sets for hours on end as a child.

My kid found them at my parents place and started putting all the old sets together.

Yes lets hope that dark age is a thing of the past and the wife understands.

Welcome to a great community!

Welcome! My son has brought me back out of the dark ages as well.  He is only 5 months old, but I am starting on his collection already :)
