I don't think so.  In my experience, many Amazon Marketplace buyers are just not too bright and/or they are too lazy to bother with eBay/PayPal.

whatever works in my favor :)

@cladner: just s sugestion dude but you should not list more than 2-3 at a time, it makes people want them more as they appear to be more limited than what we all have stashed away. also you may sell all out in one day and be kicking yourself in the a$$ that i sold mine at $149 the very next day. this thing will hit $149 by next weekend at the latest assuming lego does not flood the market. strategy is sell a few and raise the price to maximize the profits. However everyone is wrong sometimes, so my advice is to be taken lightly

i had been holding when they were selling for $50-60 but if i can turn 8 RI's into ~ 2 DS or 4 GEs in less than a month, I really can't look back.

i'm sure the last people holding these sets will be setting new records for ROI for a $20 set.

when was the last time a lego set had featured articles on CNN and NYT with  link directly to its amazon page  - two of the largest online media outlets in the world?

i just wish I had brought a third disguise the day these went on sale so I could have gone back and got some more at the lego store.

ok. looks like there are lot of users with higher inventory... 2 new sellers with 10 each selling at 94.51+5.49=$100 and $98.98+5.49=$104.48 lowest listing and it seems that they have already sold few...

technically its not higher at all. ebay charges you 13% for toys, which does not include the listing fees, and 3% for paypal. amazon processes your payments and gives you money from what seller pays for shipping (4.99) so the fees are based on 104.99 and my inventory is way easier to list and much easier for buyers to purchase.

Ebay is 10%, 9% for powersellers. Add 3% for pp.

I just sold mine for $60.  Seeing as the new eBay holiday return time is upon us, I figured I didn't want to be stuck with this set during that season.  I know it may sound like odd logic, but odds are they will continue to produce this set, and at the price people are paying now, it would be worth them returning it when they found one cheaper.

i doubt this will be coming back. it would have been already at least @ TRU if it was coming back...

Tend to agree with this, though it is definitely possible Lego could release another wave, if not more. May hang onto my last 3 just in case.

the zombies was a $39.99 set

a lot of people got zombies at a discount because it wasn't on the radar at the time

vc was heavy discounted and lucky to get 105 for it w/ shipping

Just thinking here, what is the ceiling for this set? $80? $100? I don`t think it will go that much higher, if it even makes that high, given that buyers will liekly stop seeing the value in a set so small. Could be wrong look, just look at Comic-Con items.

How would 80 dollars be the ceiling when they are selling for 100 right now?

Sold 2 at 109 +5.49 shipping credit so far, at the moment that seems to be the upper point. No-rating sellers are putting the damper on growth I would think. Still surprised it got to where it is.

Was this on amazon or eBay?

I ended up selling enough overnight to pay for my entire stash and raised my prices back up. I was shocked to see how many sold this morning. Hard to tell if they are still selling, I suppose the sellers with low price now could be updating their inventory after each sale but haven't seen much movement lately.

Do other sites republish those NYT articles? If so, this could go on for a little while..

I sold. Mine at 70 two days ago and am now regretting it. I freaking *** tripled up after fees and am sour. Maybe I'm just being a greedy jerk

Did sell a few at that price point as well. I wonder, if not NYT article, would it break $100 even at Christmas?

Amazon of course

I was just listening to a pod cast about selling on amazon and the whole FBA process. I'm curious if this is what you use (FBA), shipping a bunch to amazon and they'll distribute for you or are you able to sell on amazon and ship from home? Yup, rookie question.

would like to re quote Ed Mack

"resellers are their own worst enemy"

i hate it when people undercut each other to make a sale. why don't  list at the lowest price if that desperate. sooner or later it will get sold. what's the freaking rush.

bunch of new listing @ amazon driving prices down to 89.99+5.49=$94.48

4/14 "just launched" profiles. that's over 28% of sellers. with regard to number of availability: 18 with these 4 listings and other 9 have listed only 14 and there is one hot-shot with over 30 :D

I am considering to try FBA - it is cost effective for small and light items, but what bothers me is that I lose control over shipping process. Amazon packages something half-assed, or drops a pallet. Customer returns something. There isn't even an easy way to find out how bad returned item is. I would have to pay for item to be shipped to me
