(I taught him everything ;-) ) And I agree to jeff_14 that the abilities of the ghosts seem to be fairly limited. Otherwise Qui-Gon would run around all time long, drinking coffee, peeping, 'n stuff. Also I think that the ghosts are beyond and don't want to interfere too much in matters that no longer concern them. Kylo Ren is probably the illegitimate son of Palpatine. I mean seriously wouldn't that be fun? ;-) (Some imperial officer (female!) "yeah you know... this one night stand 20 years ago... with that creepy old dude... well turns out 'twas the emperor... here you go, now you know who your father was... and eh... by the way... Luke Skywalker killed him!")

November 13, 201510 yr One or more of the force ghosts may have directed Luke to one or more private stashes of teaching material. Obi-Wan and yoda had a long time by themselves to prepare for a time when a new Jedi/order was needed with very few practicing teachers. They would have wanted to be able to provide instruction if anything had happened to them. Luke was a poorly trained student, barely grasping the fundamentals as he ran off to adventure after a short time in training. yoda revealed skepticism of his qualities and qualifications when Luke returned to complete his training. The PT reveals that most of a couple decades was required in an intensive apprenticeship program to make one ready for becoming a Jedi. Even after the program completed, one would still need to study to attempt to understand all facets of being a Jedi. Lukek would need decades to learn to become a Jedi master, and to determine which parts of the Jedi doctrine worked, and which created more problems. His early attempts to train people the way that he had been trained could create failures that become embittered if he turned his back on them,

November 13, 201510 yr I think Obi-Wan stashed a holocron or two from the library (Jedi Archives) after seeing Jocastu Nu couldn't fight off Vader with her canesaber.

November 14, 201510 yr The takeaway from this topic....even the original trilogy was flawed. Only ROTJ had flaws the other two were flawless.
