Nick Trotta (tardisblue on flickr) has submitted this design for the November Vic Viper competition. Solar Sweeper 3V - tardisblue on flickr Good grief, just look at the detail, especially in the wings! The beautiful use of colors, all the advanced building techniques, I really can't think of this design ever being topped! This signature spacecraft of video game history in LEGO form looks fast just sitting there! There's also this amazing one by Uspez Morbo! BP-8272 STEALTH - Uspez Morbo on flickr Hmm....I'm having a problem here. I'm throwing my money at the screen, but nothing's happening....

I know this is a resellers forum but hopefully someone can help me out? A friend reached out to me asking if I could do an approx. 4” version of either Science World or the Harbour Center at her bosses request. These are 2 buildings located in Vancouver BC Canada. I let her know I’m the wrong person for the job but I’d post the question on here to see if there would be any takers or is there a forum/group that I may have better luck with? I’d appreciate any info. Thanks in advance.

Even though 28 years old, I still love the heck out of Tetris. And apparently so does Jameson Gagnepain (Jameson42 on flickr) with his nice rendition and 'gameplay' video. LEGO Tetris Gameplay - Jameson42 on flickr Funny....I am literally as old as Tetris! Imagine that.

So my bricklink store has been relatively inactive (and I haven't really been building much either) because I have been busy moving my family and building a new shed to store my MOCs and investments. My shed is finally done.... my own personal building and storing LEGO shed. I am including some pics here but interested parties should visit my mocpages for more information and about our move. I have documented the procedures used for a very successful move of merchandise and my personal MOCs. http://mocpages.com/moc.php/416912 Moving LEGO investments and MOCs is a headache, and I have done it more than once. But I have learned valuable information in the process. If an…

This must be pretty new, but I think that's the most epic scene with the Ecto-1 that I've seen so far... https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/72984233@N02/sets/72157644836788001/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/72984233@N02/sets/72157644836788001/

For bigger builds is there a preferred way to sort bricks for building? I am getting ready to embark on my first really big build.

so i went to the 2014 Designer Con a couple of weeks ago and SURPRISINGLY found a brand new SERIES 1 case at the Brick Nerd booth... $10.00 per bag... sadly (even though they said no one picked through the case) there were NO ZOMBIES so i walked across the way and found Citizen Brick who offer custom tampo'd bricks and minifigured parts that are AWESOME! different variations of zombie heads, torsos etc. also they have a lot of adult & mature themed minifigures lol like scarface, sex slave gimp, biker dude in leather chaps and bikini gals.... lol too hilarious... check out my vid for a review of their booth and some of the awesome items they have…

Hi Forum Members, Greetings from Sydney Australia. I am new to this Forum (the time post a topic) as I have recently started my hobby in Lego. I have a Lego Technic 9396 Helicopter set for a while and started building it yesterday. Unfortunately the round control turning knob does not allow me to activate the different functions of the helicopter. After reviewing the gear mechanism as compared to the instruction manuals. I noted that the gear (dark grey colour) on Page 67 of Book 1 does not engage the remaining gear mechanism and as a result, the turning knob does not control any of the functions. As per the instructions, the centre of this gear is in ro…

I just watched the Lego designer video of the "Maersk Triple-E" and it must have 50 stickers for all the cargo boxes and I've watched some reviews on Youtube and they don't look all that great... I was curious if anyone has used standard plastic model-making techniques on Lego's; namely sticker'd parts? From my experience making Gundam models, there are things you can do to sticker/decal'd parts that will blur the lines between the sticker and the pieces, giving it a more "printed" look that most of us prefer. Or is this treading into dangerous territory; I've only heard of using these methods on DECALS and not necessarily stickers... Thanks! …

Specifically wanted to start a topic to discuss what has now become a series-within-a-series. You all know what I mean here, 31026 Bike Shop and Cafe 31036 Toy and Grocery Shop 31050 Corner Deli Now that they've continued the trend of releasing one of these each year (ok first one was two buildings in one) I think the trend is going to improve the long term prospects here. Even if you look at these from a "I don't care about the street theme there" perspective, they're still great piece fodder for building towards the larger modular buildings. I wish I had the funds to allocate to this series. How do you g…

Hi guys, another post from me today! I thought I would quickly post this mod on a MOC I made. Earlier I had built the end scene from Revenge of the Sith with Vader, The Emperor and Moff Tarkin looking at the death star being built. I was in the process of dismantling it for parts when I suddenly realised that the exact same shot was used in The Force Awakens as well. So before taking it apart I did a quick modification on it to turn it into Kylo Ren watching the Star Killer base fire its super laser. DSC_2497 by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr A simple mod really turning the black space and death star backdrop into a red sky with a laser beam. The control pane…

I am going to get the 10240 X-Wing Fighter soon and I am just wondering if any of the Brick Picker members have built the 10240? Was it fun? Was there anything challenging about the set that I should know about?

I am new to LEGO. I have bought maybe six or seven sets. I would like to expand my collection. I want to get bricks that are versatile and can be used in many different ways. I like to make my own creations, so I want to get bricks that will let me create my own ideas and not just variations of the set on the box picture. So my problem is that the sets in store are made mostly to create what's on the box. ( I know they can create more.) And the creative buckets have just square, blockish blocks. Plus the sets don't have the colors I need, or have colors I won't ever use. Mostly I like to make space ships, so green blocks don't look right. Other than buying individua…

I have been rebuilding some sets piecemeal for my own collection and several times now I have need lego rope. being that it's just for me and doesn't need to be 100% original I have been trying to find good replacement string/cord/rope for the lego ropes and I just have not been having any luck. everything is ether too thin or too thick. The lego ropes do come in several different thicknesses and materials which also makes it a bit challenging. so what do you all do when you need some lego rope? it's just hard to justify the prices on the original thing...

I was at my mom's house today and found some old lego sets from the late 90's early 2000's. Most of the sets are 99% complete but i'm either missing one brick or I substitute a lego with a different color lego. I'm trying to bring some of these sets back to life. Besides brinklink where else should I be looking for replacement legos?
