Hi guys, so I was somewhat inspired by a recent job where I got to work at the legendary Abbey Road studios! I decided to make my own version of the iconic Beatles album cover using a mix of the new Beatles mini figs (for the yellow submarine) and some of my favourite imperials. 6. A random browse to their site led me to a couple of designs which for some reason where not featured across the main page. It was only by an odd chance I even found these to begin with hidden on the instructions for sale page. Anywho, check out these digital renders of their latest items for sale. Does anybody keep batteries in their Legos? In other words, I have the Technic Motorized Excavator and am worried that if I don't use it the batteries may corrode.

  9. so i went to the 2014 Designer Con a couple of weeks ago and SURPRISINGLY found a brand new SERIES 1 case at the Brick Nerd booth... $10.00 per bag... sadly (even though they said no one picked through the case) there were NO ZOMBIES so i walked across the way and found Citizen Brick who offer custom tampo'd bricks and minifigured parts that are AWESOME! different variations of zombie heads, torsos etc. also they have a lot of adult & mature themed minifigures lol like scarface, sex slave gimp, biker dude in leather chaps and bikini gals.... lol too hilarious... check out my vid for a review of their booth and some of the awesome items they have…

  10. Is there one? I know about the existence of Lego Designer but is this the right tool to plan a LEGO city as well? Thanks Mauro

The new sets for the past few years have been too organized with their bagging. The bags used to be unnumbered to at the most from 3 bags each numbered from 1 through 4. Nowadays the sets goes from bag 1 to bag 13. The builds now seems to dumbed down since the bags are so organized. When I build I just dump everything into 1 big pile to slow it down. Does anyone else feel the same way with your newer builds?

I really like the TIE + Slave 1 + X-wing here: http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/14102-how-to-build-your-sealed-set-while-retaining-the-most-value/#comment-458852 But it gets me thinking.. I'd really like a display frame that showed them fighting eachother. Like have the TIE attacking X-wing and Slave 1 off to the side but all in different angles, as if in space. I imagine the weight would be a problem. Has anybody seen something like this? I like seeing these shelf displays, but I think they would get kind of old sitting kind of bland like that and feel like an actual action scene would have way more pop. Maybe even throw a piece of cardboard with a space backdrop …

Anyone purchased the pdf/instructions to bricklink Chilli's? And how much did it all cost to complete? My wife loves the design and would like to add it to our small collection. Do we have any builders here that sold their work/custom designs?

Hey guys, I have just finished another build, which I would love to share with you all. I call this 'Jabba's PIzza Hutt' Jabba's Pizza Hutt by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr For a change this is not related to any scene or landscape from the Star Wars saga but rather a bit of fun I was having with my newly acquired Jabba figure. Finally finished my Sandcrawler and with Jaisonline's help have already done some fine tuning to the hatches. This thing has great playability and lots of options to modify it. The pics are just a quick MOC to see what it will look like with the studs covered. I can get the elements I need from Bricklink for $40. Then I plan on adding power next.

I just finished editing the Lego Ideas WALL-E set. I purchased and included in the video the Head Mount Modification Kit that was designed by Chris McVeigh.

After seeing a post on The Brother's Brick, I got inspired and decided to create my own small scale THE LEGO MOVIE logo. Because of my lack of pieces, I had to construct a cube and build the words over it. I know that grey is not the ideal color, but that is what I had. I still want to buy some pieces on Pick-A-Brick to finish off the texture on the front. Here's the back: Comments, criticisms, and suggestions welcome!

I like to build at the kitchen table, but I always seem to bump/drop parts I like to build on the floor, but my back gets sore ? Anybody found a good table/surface to build on? Most of the stuff I see seems designed for kids. Thanks?

  25. Started by speedsausage,

Having the Christmas spirit in me today, I thought I would start a thread where people could share stories or incidents affecting people other than themselves pertaining to Lego in a positive way. ie. Making a kids day because you didn't want that shredder polybag that you randomly gave him. I know this forum is about investing, making money, knowing what our plastic is worth etc. etc. but it feels like we forget how the end result can really affect people who whole heartedly love Lego. I will start with a link a coworker sent me today. http://globalnews.ca/news/1722843/how-kevin-bieksa-buying-a-star-wars-lego-set-changed-a-young-mans-life/
